Coach Kellie Harper's third year team is looking solid thus far, barring injury *fingers crossed* despite the departure of anchor Rennia Davis, Kasi Kushkiuah, and Jaiden McCoy. She has 9 returning players, including ESPN Top 25 Player Rae Burrell as well as Jordan Horston and Marta suarez in the front court and Tamari Key at center.

The new players come in as starts in their own right. Two of them have just been named Gatorade Players of the year in their states, 5'6 PG Brooklynn Miles in Kentucky and 6'2 G/F Sara Puckett in Alabama. They're joined by 6'3 F Karolline Striplin, who was Alabama's Miss Basketball, and Kaiya Wynn, a 6'0 G who was Texas' 5A Player of the Year. Experience comes in the form of Alexus Dye, grad transfer from Troy. The 6'0 F, Sun Belt conference Player of the Year, joins Keyen Green, who Sat out last year with injury. This will be the larget number (14) of active players on the roster since 2001-02.

Also returning Jordan Walker who ended the season as the starting PG. this team returns 4/5 starters from last years squad while easily replacing KK. With the continued growth of Horston, Burrell, and Key. A healthy Marta. An improved Jordan Walker. This team should be better and finish better. Davis is a HUGE loss so I’m not diminishing that. It’ll look different but that doesn’t necessarily mean worse.

I missed Walker. I was thinking she was a grad transfer with limited eligibility. My bad. She's good!
