How long does it take for a stress fracture to heal? Many stress fractures of the foot or ankle will heel in 4 to 6 weeks. However, healing times vary, depending on which bone is broken. Some foot bones, such as the navicular or the fifth metatarsal, can take a much longer time to heal than do others. |

It takes an average of three months for a stress fracture to heal completely. That means that although you may be able to resume running six to eight weeks after the initial diagnosis, it is critical to start back slowly and increase your mileage gradually to allow the final healing to take place. |

ugh, of course it'd happen to my second favorite Lynx player. And I only really like 2 of them.

No. 1 pick out indefinitely
Rookie forward Rennia Davis, the ninth player taken in the first round of the WNBA draft, has a stress fracture in her left foot and will be out indefinitely.
Apparently Davis injured the foot during the SEC tournament playing for Tennessee. She played in the NCAA tournament, thinking it was just general soreness. The pain returned early in camp and she was shut down midweek.
SOS — help on the way
With it looking like the Lynx will start the regular season without Davis, McBride and Collier, Reeve said the team, under league rules, will be allowed to make emergency additions to the opening day roster. |
Wouldn’t surprise me if some of the GM’s were aware of the injury, so that’s why she dropped. Dammit, Reeve. I was hoping for Evans as a Sims replacement (she compares her game to Sims), and as luck would have it she seems to be doing well at Dallas training camp.
What are Reeve’s options with Davis? They can cut her but can’t suspend her?

Sources: Alex Rodriguez group hasn't closed Minnesota Timberwolves deal
Brian Winhorst (ESPN Senior Writer)
May 11, 2021
Tech entrepreneur Marc Lore and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez's 30-day exclusive negotiating window to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves from Glen Taylor has ended without a formal deal.
Both sides are continuing to negotiate in good faith in an attempt to reach an agreement and it is possible that an extension to the window could be worked out, but one isn't currently in place, sources told ESPN.

In the three-game series, McBride averaged 24.3 points while nailing 13 three-pointers in total. For her efforts, KayMac was named the Most Valuable Player for the KBSL Final. |
Fenerbahce is done, so a bunch of WNBA players should be returning. Others including JThomas, Stokes, Vaughn, Sabally.

After the Lynx waived Pivec to and Lott today it looks like the roster is down to 11. But with McBride and Collier joining late and Davis injured they’d only have 8 healthy available players tomorrow night. Any word if they’ll add someone temporarily?
I’ve got my tix and excited to get to Target Center tomorrow! 🥳

She’s a replacement player. That means she has to be the one that gets gets cut when the regulars are ready.

If a player is two weeks beyond being fully vaccinated, I believe it’s two negative tests separated by a day, but don’t quote me on that.
Players need the rest anyway, or they’ll be in jeopardy of suffering burnout.

So the Lynx traded away their pick next year to make room to sgn inefficient chucker Powers? Reeve needs to stop doing trades jeus.

It is not as bad as it looks because they ended up with PX's first round pick somehow (I think NY had it for a second or two in the Nurse and Walker trade and flipped it in the Howard trade and then Seattle sent it to Minny for Herbert-Harrigan). I am guessing PX's pick will be within two of Minny's old pick, could be better, could be worse, but certainly not as bad as if Minny had no 1st round pick in 22 at all.

I think Powers can become really effective in the right system. Mike T already showed that.
But Minny needs a leader at guard who can settle everyone down including Powers.

Reeve should have got rid of Banham... she deserves no minutes. Killed any sort of momentum we had any time she checks in. It’s bad.
