Pre Stanley, whoever she might be, ate 'em up in her 5 1/2 minutes on the floor. Not sure where Mike pulled her out of a hat, and obviously she's not expected to make the roster, but boy she showed out. |
I looked her up - she's a real person. I thought maybe she was someone made up like those famous pre-seson box score entries of the past, whose names escape me. |
I remember one year there was a glitch where (I think) Brittney Griner would occasionally transform into Elena Delle Donne, and then into Layshia Clarendon, and back again, whenever the live stats refreshed. It was fascinating. |
I think he's talking about the time it was either San Antonio or Tulsa that had players named something like "NotYetWaived" "FreeAgentMissing" in the preseason boxscores - they were funnier than that but equally ridiculous.

Looks like the vets are picking on the rook Collier. She already has 2 BA’s.

Is that a new stat this year? I think I know what it means but what does it stand for?
Edit: Googled it: Blocks against. Duh!

COVID protocols.
The interesting thing is Harrison is under protocols while Kuier isn’t in camp, even the two are teammates overseas. Why didn’t they come over together? 🤔

I would have thought Dallas would have made sure that was already in place...

This stuff takes time, and bureaucracy moves at its own pace. Shyla Heal posted yesterday that hers had finally been approved and she was on her way to Chicago (and she hasn't been in a different country from her own playing basketball since the draft). |

Shepard is balling for the lynx. 11 points and 8 rebounds with 3 minutes before halftime.

You would think we were way beyond bureaucratic visas, especially for professional sports players.
Collier started out slow, but now she has a double double.

Only Tina Charles doing anything for the Mystics right now. Nice to see Jess Shephard in double figures again.

It will probably help her confidence anyway but she got 6 points and 4 rebounds in the 4th quarter against the posts that Connecticut are likely to cut: S. Jones with a remote chance to make the team, but also Bertsch and Fraser. Still it will feel good for her and basically I expect her to get most of her minutes during the season against the other team's second string. It is what it is. Hopefully she learns and progresses. It's a big step up to the W.
