Wow. Good for her, honestly. I'm honestly stunned she was under any consideration. Of Baylor wanted to pluck from the W, I wonder if they made a play for someone like Reeve. |
As good as Reeve is... I don’t think Baylor would’ve ever made a run at Reeve.

I would think Darius Taylor would have an inside track to the HC position. |
Mike Petersen named interim head coach, which was my best guess.

I’ll be interested in who they get. Do they just promote an interim from their assistant ranks or go elsewhere. Especially since they are in training camp still. |
I doubt either assistant follows her to Baylor. I'd guess Petersen is slightly more likely than Taylor to be the interim coach. |
Brian Agler on Line 3 lmao |
So that he can get himself accused (exposed?) of having a relationship with one of his players again? 😬 He had a good run in the W, but imo he ought to be out of the League for good. |
It didn’t get him out of Dallas. But I also jest, I don’t see him coming back.
What’s Pokey up to these days? |
I agree, Dallas didn’t exactly move to get rid of him.
And Pokey was exactly who I was thinking of as well. 🤔

I recall when he was hired (shortly after Collen IIRC) thinking his resume was stronger than hers.

Yeah, he has a good resume but he looks really old. I don't know how old, but the younger Taylor, who is also Black, would seem more appropriate. He also has a good resume both as a coach and in administration. And since his wife is the HC at Georgia, he probably is not interested in going elsewhere.

Look at it this way myrtle - does Taylor want to have a sinking ship on his resume? And - interim means "temporary or until he quits".....

Collen was going to be gone anyway after the Dream went 13-19 or so this year. This gives them a head start on the search for the next one.

I will bet anyone the Dream will be a playoff team - losers can not post for 2 months....anyone in? They positioned the team in the offseason with some good free agents...will be fun to watch.

I think they have a better chance with Petersen then they did with Collen

Atlanta Dream interim Head Coach Mike Petersen in a presser this morning. He had no interest in following Nicki Collen to Baylor and isn't interested in taking the Dream head coach job permanently
The Dream plan to add another assistant coach to the coaching staff. Something that Petersen, Darius Taylor, and the ownership group started working on right away. |

Maybe Pokey Chatman, as we've mentioned earlier. Or maybe this is how Amber Stocks re-enters the League – has she done any coaching since getting fired in 2018?
Probably neither though.

What's Carol Ross doing? She has an Atlanta connection and even has a decent record as a WNBA head coach.

you may be right but the picture I saw of her on the link looks very much like her, other than hair color, which we all know is adaptable...

It looks like Ross runs a coaching consulting firm with Gail Goestenkors. She's active on Twitter. Based on her account, Carol is still blonde and her politics (where visible) seem liberal.
