I watched Thompson a few times this year. She looked small compared to Boston, Austin, and Alabama's Copeland. Boston and Austin are listed at 6-5, but the difference between them and Thompson looked like more than 2 inches. Copeland is listed at 6-3, but she's very wide. I don't know how much of this is real or optical illusion, but Unique looked undersized.
No doubting her competitiveness though. A better comparison might be another Auburn grad -- Le'Coe Willingham. However, coming out of college Thompson has much better numbers.

Can we read anything in terms of the college bios you are posting?
Hoping Mack, Guirantes or Onyenwere fall to 12?
I think Richards could be a great fit in Vegas, she can focus on her defense and passing and giving the other teams PG nightmares as they try to dribble up the court or get their shot off on the perimeter. |
I struggle to see the fit here. Seems like they'd basically be drafting Jackie Young all over again, but an even worse offensive player. |
IDK, I guess it could be argued that she is redundant to Young (hopefully in year 3 Young continues to add to her offensive repertoire), but with all the ball dominant or high usage scoring options (Gray, Plum, McCoughtry, Williams, Wilson, Cambage, Hamby) a defensive specialist the can give you some back up Wing and PG minutes seems like a fit to me. OTOH L. Allen could have filled that role and they traded her so maybe not |
She has always been favorite of mine in college, but I wonder how effective she will be as a pure defensive specialist. She has been good defending certain types of players. I do not see her as effective defending quicker smaller players of the quality she will see in the WNBA. She used her length and size to her advantage defensively, but those longer legs are not condusidve to quick players. Players like Mc Donald or Evens she would have trouble with. You also can not have a Point who is not a thrat to shoot from outside. Perhaps in time she could develop the skills to guard anyone with more experience, but do teams have the luxury and time to develop a purely defenseive specialist? I don't see her as a vaible first round pick, but someone will probable pick her.

This really is a fantastic resource, for tracking changes in mock drafts/projections and having a central location for sources/links (not to mention the franchise's draft history).
Will the section be updated again, as ESPN just released its latest mock draft with the Aces projected to select DiJonai Carrington

I wonder if she'll keep coaching high school at Windward (LA). She has one of the top young players in the country there in JuJu Watkins.

So happy for coach Fargas!!!! Some guy said on the LSU board Mark Davis and Nikki was at PF Changs in Baton Rouge Monday. Nikki husband played for the raiders so it makes sense now.

Is she taking Laimbeer’s job? I notice Chase has been awfully quiet the last few days.

Vegas will be really hard to beat this year. They are just thick with talent.

Yes, on paper they do have the most talent. They will be a team that I will follow closely this season.
