Can the Gamecocks prevent a complete washout day for the SEC?

The beavs shooting 1-6 from three won't cut it unless they warm up.

You should REALLY love it when South Carolina plays Morehead State, then.....

Both teams still scuffling a bit in the 2nd Period, but the Gamecocks find footing and force Oregon State into a rash of turnovers, and capitalize. They out-score the Beavers 16-5 in the 2nd Qtr. and lead 30-18 at halftime. It was 19-16 Gamecocks for a good while, then USC went off on a 11-2 run to close out the half....

Gamecocks in full control now, out-scoring Oregon State 23-11 in the 3rd Quarter to take the 53-29 lead. They are scoring better now while the Beavers are struggling to score, and the fouls are stacking up for them.
Aliyah Boston leads the Gamecocks with 15 pts, while Henderson and Cooke - absent for most of the scoring in the 1st Round versus Mercer, are engaged - both are shooting 5-12 with Henderson scoring 12 and Cooke scoring 10 pts through 3 qtrs.
Brea Beal leads the team with 10 rebounds, while reserve Laeticia Amihere has 8 pts and 8 rebounds through 3 periods....

South Carolina wins the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament against Oregon State 59-42 to advance to their 11th Sweet Sixteen in program history, and 7th consecutive. Aliyah Boston led the way with 19 pts and 7 rebounds. Destanni Henderson added 12 pts with 3 steals, and Zia Cooke added 10 pts and 5 rebounds.
Laeticia Amihere had 8 pts and 9 boards, and Victaria Saxton chipped in 7 pts, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 2 steals. Brea Beal led the team with 11 rebounds, and Destiny Littleton came off the bench to corral 7 boards herself....

My Beavs did not play well. All credit to SC though. Funny that neither team could hit an open 3 tonight. OSU 3-19, SC 1-15. I think playing in a cavernous football stadium can’t help but throw your shooting focus off a little. For OSU it was by far their worst shooting performance of the season. But even if both teams has shot their season averages SC still wins this one.
Nonetheless a good season for the Beavs after a rough start and a ton of missed games.

Rough night tonight for them but they should definitely be proud of the way they turned their season around. Had some great wins down the stretch.

SC looked darned good. Beavs NOT their best, but SC can have that effect! Goodman will be missed -- or is she returning?

The $64,000 question. We may never know, what with the lack of reliable transcription for the press conferences. (Wait. Are they even having press conferences in the first two rounds?)
