Collier out with two fouls about 2 min in. Game over already?

T the 6:60 mark of the 3rd Baylor has 2 baskets outside the paint, one of those just outside, the other a 3. Five points out of 41.

it's really hard to tell how effective their crash'em and smash'em offense will be against better teams outside the B12.

A Tenn-Baylor matchup would be fun to watch.

I'm having a hard time understanding why Collier is the No 1 prospect? I'm thinking that it has more to do with her going to Dallas, who has the 1st pick. If that pick belonged to another team she might not be No 1. But then I've never thought that the W draft was done honestly.

There must be a shortage of TV production staff. At the end of the 3rd period the on-screen score had it only "at the half". I've noticed a lot of production gaffs during these tournaments. Not important but not very professional and ESPN+ viewers are paying to watch.

She has consistently racked up great stats against lesser teams, especially those without much in the middle. And she's a great physical speciman. But she has pretty much struggled against teams with any kind of inside game. JMO of course but I too have had a hard time seeing her as a #1 pick, even in this very down year.

A statistic that would support this conclusion: points + rebounds = personal fouls
Baylor's posts are good, but yikes.

Baylor has 5 assists right now on 22 baskets. They make up for it with 20 offensive rebounds.

As fun as she is to watch, Smith has really been adding to her TO number today!
Taylor and Allen-Taylor keeping Texas alive in this one. If they had gotten any help whatsoever from Collier, they would have had a chance.

I notice that DiDi pretty much palms the ball every time down the floor.

Meanwhile at halftime of the Maryland Iowa game, they're talking about how wonderful Collier is.

What can't be lost for Collier is that she has never played with good guards. IF Texas had AA type guards, she would look a lot better, IMO. She is the entire Texas team and all defenses can key on her.
