| The Gamecocks take the 22-16 lead after the 1st period of play. Zia Cooke started red hot, shooting 5-9 for 12 pts in the 1st Qtr.....

The 2nd Period only saw a total of 15 points scored by both teams, but South Carolina scored 11 of those, and leads Ole Miss 33-20 at the half. Zia Cooke started hot in the 1st Qtr., but cooled off quick in the 2nd shooting only 1-7. She still leads the game with 14 pts, but her cold shooting hurt the team's overall offensive production.
South Carolina also has not rebounded well in this game thus far - they only have 18 boards at the half, and that may be decent for most other teams but it's not often at all when the Gamecocks fail to have 20+ rebounds by the half, particularly when both teams are not shooting all that great....

| Gamecocks do a better job rebounding in the 3rd quarter - 14 boards, almost as many as the 18 they collected in the entire 1st half - and extend their lead to 49-31 after three periods of basketball.

The #5/6 South Carolina Gamecocks pull away in the 4th quarter to defeat the Mississippi Rebels 68-43 to improve to 19-3, and 14-1. The Rebels fall to 9-10, 3-10.
Zia Cooke led the Gamecocks with 17 points. Senior Lele Grissett continued her strong play off the bench with 12 pts, 5 rebounds, a block and a steal. Victaria Saxton added 10 pts, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals, Brea Beal added 8 pts, 9 boards, and 2 blocks, and Laeticia Amihere chipped in 8 pts and 3 rebounds....
The Gamecocks collect 25 rebounds in the 2nd half, which is more like what they generally average per half. They had 43 boards for the game....
