JMU was supposed to host William & Mary this past weekend, but the Tribe evidently had Covid problems, so the Dukes played host to the Elon Phoenix at the AUBC for a double rematch instead. In the Saturday game, JMU won, 67-55. The next day, they came back and beat the Phoenix again, 67-54. In the first game, Maddie Green went on a 3 point tear and finished with 18 for the Dukes. Close behind her were Kiki Jefferson and Rayne Tucker with 14 each. Ariel Colon had 12 for Elon. In the reprise game, it was a 14 point show, with Tucker, Jefferson, and Jamia Hazell having 14 each for JMU and Brie Perpignan and Evonna McGill scoring the same for Elon.

With Peyton McDaniel still MIA due to a foot injury (not supposed to be season-ending), we're seeing a LOT of Jaylin Carodine and Eleanore Marciszewski. Carodine is one of those players who plays taller than she is, with long arms and an incredible vertical leap that makes her a rebounding threat. And Sunday we got our first look at Clemson transfer Claire Neff, who was thought to be redshirting but apparently decided against it for second semester. Quick young thing with an intense look in her eye.
