General manager Tony Novo was grilled by reporters at Rutgers' Yurcak Field, Sky Blue's home venue — and one of its biggest problems. It's a fair facility for college soccer, but its locker rooms aren't fit for professionals. They lack showers and standard fitness equipment. |

How is a locker room that lacks showers fit for college soccer? |

It's not. I actually live pretty close to Rutgers. the field is below high school standards. I don't go to games because it's a terrible facility. There's no parking lot, you park on grass and when it's been raining all week, it's impossible to get out. I hope and pray that either the RedBulls or NYCFC buy the team. I'm not surprised no one wants to play for them. They'll be just as bad next season unless things improve.

reports are coming out that SkyBlue may fold this offseason with NYCFC possibly being granted an expansion team for 2020 along with LAFC. NWSL is looking to restructure itself this offseason and may not add any expansion teams.

Of course it's not a definite. But when players and STH are protesting the team it's not a good sign.

I keep hoping NYRB or NYCFC will buy this team. The Sky Blue front office is just a joke. It would be sad to lose another team if they fold and it would look horrid for the league from a perception standpoint to lose 3 teams in 2 years.

Sky Blue have already passed their attendance record which was back in 2009(6,000+). Really feel they'll get around 10k for this game.

Sky Blue FC drew 9,400+ at Red Bull Arena yesterday. Apparently the rent is ridiculously high, so the likelihood of them returning there seem slim. But definitely some hope for 2020 that their front office finally has their act together.

If the Red Bulls would just go ahead and buy the team and relocate it to Harrison, there would be no rent to pay.

Sky Blue's final home game has been moved to Red Bull Arena (Sept. 29). It will be a double-header with the Red Bulls. Sky Blue will now play at 11am with the Red Bulls' game at 5pm.
This could be a good sign for next season if they can get an agreement with them to play a select few games there. Or, the Red Bulls can just buy the team already.

Sky Blue draw 8,314 in their second game and season finale at Red Bull Arena. Lots of hope for 2020 that they'll stay in NJ. The likelihood is Montclair(MSU) with a few games at RBA.

Whether Lloyd and the rest of Sky Blue will play at Red Bull Arena next season is not yet known. What is for certain, however, is that this season is poised to propel Sky Blue into a new chapter. |

*Westchester
Was at RBA was great crowd looked like what was announced and this GM is working her ASS off
That said I think long term Montclair a better long term home RB2 has made it a top rate facility
Spoke to the leader of the supporters club she wasn't as optimistic still think the Somerset patriots ballpark is an option (well it is more convient to the rails but that is a funky field)
Big hurdle with Montclair is no rail access on weekends
Dunno if all games at RBA is feasible given the 11am kick just to shoehorn in this game
The sides were full
The ends except for cloud 9 and some away fans were barren
Because Bevco (red bull hq) has final say on everything there can't be the synergy that the MLS owned clubs enjoy...i doubt Bevco has interest in NWSL but RBA for big games would work but even true DHS would be hard imho
There was no sky blue merch or anything just their pa guy and some freebies and the fan night raffle
Montclair would work and likely youd be looking at the newest cloud 9 member if that happened likely replacing my adjunct sun plan
I'm excited but guarded much to be done...both crowds were good but not great
Also that annoying country over club opponent rooting (laroux returning doesn't count that was big) still prevails but that is what it is

Reign FC's numbers are updated through their September 29th home game. Chart has Reign with 11 games, but they have played all 12 home games. Their overall attendance was 62,551 for a 12-game average of 5,213 not the 5,411 the SSD has.
Houston's numbers are also wrong. Through 12 games, the Dash drew 48,631 for a 12-game average of 4,053 not the 3,615 that SSD lists.
All attendance numbers are from the league site. The other 7 teams are correct.

Hopefully the next step is RBNY buying the team outright.
