Gamecocks lead 18-13 after 1st quarter. Rutgers was up 9-3 at one point, then USC woke up and went 6 for 6 shooting after starting 0 for 5, and went on a 15-4 run to take control of the quarter....

33-26 Gamecock lead at the half. Lots of turnovers for both teams, but both teams play frenetic defense as a signature for each coaching staff. USC needs more support from their bench and other bigs like Jennings and Herbert-Harrigan...

That was always the tradition with Rutgers basketball. They play a physical brand of defense that knocks offenses out of their comfort zone and results in an ugly game.

Well I'm sure that it would have worked had USC chosen to have an off day at the FT line, which they have had those days before, but they've shot 22 for 25 today. Most of that came from Wilson who shot 15 for 17. So that probably was not what Rutgers was hoping for.....

South Carolina wins 78-68. A'ja Wilson led the way with 33 pts and 10 rebounds, and Lindsey Spann added 17 pts. South Carolina next plays St. John's tomorrow at 5 pm: St. John's beat Western Michigan earlier today 76-48....

Yeah i must agree rutgers looking a bit better with tyler back playing with the team. Shes a game changer. Rutgers normally has at least 1 WNBA potential type guard on their roster. Last year was just a mess though. Hopefully they get back to the Tourney where the scarlet knights were a mainstay from the mid 90's Til About 2008.
