Love the WNBA and USA Basketball...however, am I alone in finding the US womens basketball (so far in this Olympics) boring?

I am not bored at all. I love watching to see who will break out next like Angel and the Angel/Lindsay/Maya trio did early on. Angel especially has broken out on the biggest stage and has shown she can find a way to score off a broken play or change the whole tempo with a swipe and runout.
I also keep waiting for Swin/Asjha to show me why they're on the team. Hasn't happened yet, but we haven't gotten to the medal round so there's still time.
Meanwhile, Sue Bird has quietly shown why she's still the best, even as Lindsay Whalen shows herself to be a strong contender and legit PG for this team as well.
I'm cheering for the Aussies to get to the Gold Medal game and push Team USA for the gold. I'm very, very happy for Liz to be the first woman to thrown one down in the Olympics.

1. Very unlikely the Opals will make it to the gold medal game
2. Extremely unlikely the Opals and USA will both make it to the gold medal game
3. There is virtually zero chance that we would push the USA for gold, unless 7 USA players got lost on the way to the stadium and a couple of the other 5 got into foul trouble

What if Geno were to a get stuck in some elevator with the entire USA coaching staff until it was too late, and the only thing that could be done was for lisa leslie to take charge of the team?

Then Jones probably doesn't get the start, and the USA wins by even more.

Oh good, barely a minute into the broadcast and AMD is already offering sweeping generalizations about basketball in Asia...

Looks like Parker will be on the Cavalry, replacing Maya. Hope she puts out...
