| After games of July 22, the WNBA teams are just 445 points away from the 800,000th regular season point scored in WNBA history. I find this neat.

So if my math is correct--I hope so, but corrections are welcome--then perhaps in WNBA season #25 the 1,000,000th point would be scored. That would be lovely!!!
(But if the league adds more games per season and more teams then I guess it'll come sooner.)

The 25th season was last year. So I think there might be some kind of issue with your maths... |

Thanks for correcting my terrible error. No excuses. Not my first such blunder that you've corrected--and you should do so every time! But I will try to keep these errors to a minimum.
So maybe in season #30?

1,000,000 points will take likely 6 more seasons. It would happen sooner with a longer season and/or expansion.

There are 2 seasons with higher averages, 2020 at 83.1 and 2018 at 82.4, currently the 2022 season is at 82, 2016 finished at 81.9 and 2017 finished at 81.5.
