Interesting to see that Chastity Reed and Markeisha Gatling are still going strong.

I guess I'm just drawn to the negative. Notable performances:

Natasha Mack 0-12 from the field
Ruth Hamblin 1-9 from the field
Kennedy Leonard played all 40 minutes but maybe it's too much because she had 10 turnovers

Very dependent on who else you have as an option, though. Lions coach Mark Clark clearly doesn't trust his bench much. Hell, they just won a domestic game by nearly 40, and only 7 players played more than 3 minutes.

Do y'all know if Sloot is going overseas? I see that Quigley has reported to UMMC and was wondering. Maybe she is still healing up from plantar fasciitis?

She's definitely been reported as being on UMMC's roster for this year, yes. No idea when she actually intends to go (and after all, Alex Bentley is such a natural and equal replacement).

Gotcha! Is the part in parentheses...sarcasm? Laughing In all seriousness, I really hope Bentley pulls her game together and is able to prove herself over there. Now, I thought I saw BG in UMMC clips this year but she wasn't there today...hmm..

Btw, Gabby Williams looks great! I missed most of Euroleague last year but apparently, she was a MVP candidate. I caught a little of the game today and her squad (Sopron: Gabby, Petty, Brooks) was running Kursk out of the gym in the first quarter. I need to go see what happened in the second half because Kursk (Arike, Howard, Prince) definitely fought back and got it close but Sopron pulled out the win.

Bentley was the last player that i expected to see on the UMMC roster Laughing but she got her game winner already so that probably gives her a lot of credit within the club

Bentley shouldn’t be a totally surprising choice for anybody who had access to the Eurobasket Tournament.

But is that a sustainable strategy -- have a player suck for the whole game just to keep it close so she can hit the winning basket? Wouldn't getting a better player and winning by a wider margin save you a lot of agita?

Looks like the Chinese league isn't allowing foreigners again.

Between quarantine rules and the financial hits taken by a lot of team owners, this makes sense. I do wonder if it will end up being permanent in China and South Korea since Japan's league does not allow foreigners and now both countries are trying to get to their level on the national team front.
