Basically every coach that misses the playoffs is what they're saying. I'm assuming the Mystics will get the last spot.

Derek Fisher will continue to overstay his welcome & hang on for another year, I’m guessing. Twisted Evil

Please set Walt Hopkins' seat on fire. Literally or figuratively, either is fine.

I wonder if Fisher might jump before he's pushed, in the hope of moving back into a job in the men's game without his reputation being too tarnished by WNBA failure. Might depend on whether there are any offers out there for him to actually walk back into.

I'm curious which (if any) coaches could be on the hot seat, even if their team does make the playoffs and get eliminated in the early stages.

If the Sparks sneak in at 13-19 then get wiped out by Seattle then Fisher will still be in trouble. Lucky for him they can't get matched up with Candy P and Chicago.

Alter's generally been pretty patient over the years but at some point you wonder if Chicago's results are seen as underperforming. They have a lot of roster-building/reshaping to do this offseason, so you better still trust the person who's going to be doing it. But the current top-8 in general look pretty safe at the moment.

If Delle Donne retires, as has been suggested, you have to wonder if Thibault might also. At his age he might not be excited about a long rebuild.
