I didn't include Whitcomb (8.1, 2.3r -> 12.8, 5.6r) because she's going to miss too many games to be eligible, but she would get my vote ATM.

Plum's already missed six. Even if Whitcomb's out the rest of the season she'll only miss seven.

I don't feel like this award has the obvious candidates that sometimes present themselves in other years. Most of the people who've been mentioned have done stuff we've seen from them in previous years, just a bit more frequently. I prefer it to go to players who've produced a genuine and obvious advancement in their skills.

Good point. I voted for Mabrey. Her more than doubling her assists is the closest anyone has come to that "obvious advancement in skill" but that could have more to do with the system than her productivity.

I vote Sammy. She has proven that she is not only a streaky off the bench shooter but is a solid starter and leader on a young team

The change in Brionna was so dramatic that it changed her overall as a player. So, I gave her my vote.
