Clearly I am in the minority here, but I maintain that if the game was going to be held, it should have been up to fans whether they wanted to risk going out, with an option for refund/reallocation for those who chose to opt out.

I rather enjoy the lack of UConn in this game, Ms. Battle, and I would prefer if we maintained that status.

The 135K she commanded would have prevented signing/trading for one of Sami, Laney or Howard. |
dump one of the end of the benchers and just go with fewer players.

This reminds of the time some years ago when the Hawks had to postpone a game against the Bucks because 6 inches of snow fell on Atlanta. Atlanta was the laughing stock of Milwaukee where 6 inchses of snow would be cleaned up in a few hours. What is a minor weather event in one place can result in chaos somewhere else. BTW - I'm not so sure Cat 1 huricane would be considered nothing to worry about in Florida either. They would certainly be lining up for all Federal disaster aid they could get. |
I would not say the snow would be cleaned up in a few hours but the city will not shut down either. If your vehicle doesn't have four wheel drive then stay home until the plow trucks and salt trucks take care of their business.

Seems to me LA is allowed one type of contact and NY another but maybe it’s just me.

They’d have had to dump two or three ppl to match that salary.

The Liberty are doing a good job of complaining about any contact they make though.
This has been a less then spectacular second quarter.

It feels like there's at least one play per game where a Liberty player takes contact to the face or head and is subsequently called for the audacity of their head being in the way of the other player's arm.

The Howard foul for Wheelers flop was pretty…uncalled for. At least she’s at the line now.

Our broadcasters are having such a great time... but could they occasionally talk about the game instead of 100 other things that amuse them?

It took Fisher too long to call that T.O. Nice run by the Liberty there, and Allen continuing her good form.

I like Amanda Zahui B but don't think losing her was terrible.

I'd have to look at Richyyy's numbers, but you being a NY fan probably know best.

They do seem to have dangled an endless array of shiny objects in front of their faces today.

If somebody can explain to me what about Sami’s defense makes that a foul on Sami I’m all ears.
Sami is facing the offensive player squared up in legal guarding position and Wheeler initiates the contact with her shoulder. Sami gets called on something like that once every couple of games.
What’s the standard? I’m baffled. Legitimately. I’d like to hear why I’m seeing it wrong.

Laney is zero for the half after a weak game on Friday. New York absolutely needs scoring from her.

In February, I don’t think they were planning on suspending both Durr and Johannes.
Howard is their ideal starting center now.
