yeah, pretty much the BS specialist.

anyway the game looks like it should be a blowout. Just give BG the ball in the paint repeatedly. Not much else is needed. The olympics will get more competitive if some of the other countries can develop some true bigs.

That's our Golden State Warriors announcer Razz

Atkins should be in to help on the guards.

you expect Dawn to change her stripes at this late date?
I do hope we get a new coach before the next Olympics.

God I hope not. Khadijah Sessions hasn't gotten to become an Olympian yet!

Taurasi has really impressed me. Playing with a bad hip and probably a bad wrist, I don't think she's been off the floor in the first half. She's really been needed with Sue Bird on the bench with foul trouble.

Can't blame the US for not anticipating the Motohashi ambush. She only played 1 minute in the first US game, and only scored 2 points on 1/5 shooting against the French in the semis. She's been way more than expected today.

It looks like a total mismatch. The Japanese team is quick but the American size advantage should nullify that

It will if we take advantage of it. Having our guards brick outside shots won't help.

Having the Japanese guards scoring driving layups against Griner won't help either... Confused

Her defense has been good. They are scoop shotting it and that's unnatural. She's been there to block it but honestly, what do you do?

Playing with Cambage should have given her plenty of practice.

Having Bird switching onto their posts doesn't seem to be working out for the USA Laughing

US played fatigued in the last two minutes of that quarter. Japan is going to keep going after them in the fourth.

So, MVP? BG, Stewie or Aja? BG for this game, obviously. How much does the gold medal game weigh in choosing?

You would think the U.S. doesn’t have a bench

Pretty dick move that Staley still hasn't played four players in the gold medal game.

I was poking fun at the announcer for telling the same story, verbatim, every game since group play. “In Rio, Griner said she wanted to stand out; in Tokyo she is trying to stand out!”

I think probably Stewie if I had to pick a tourney MVP. She’s been the glue that held everything together and done a little bit of everything.

We're looking gassed here. We're getting beat down the court and our shooting has gone to hell.

I don't think they name an MVP or an All-Star Five for the Olympics. Can't find them for previous tournaments, anyway. So pick your own Smile.

Her 8 assists were great and very much needed with Bird on the bench. Very happy to see her have an impact on the game.
