That announcement is actually from last season. She's still on their website as a GA, but isn't that usually a one-year gig?

It really depends on the program they are taking. I'd say the majority are two years, but one years aren't uncommon.

I didn't check the date and didn't hear about it last season. I am apparently behind.

She played 2 seasons with Fenerbahçe in Turkey. I'm not sure what she did the next year. Then last year, she tore her Achilles in June, missed the WNBA wubble season, and took the Ark GA position last fall while she was still rehabbing.

Do those grad assistant positions pay any money at all? Or is your paycheck free graduate school?

Every situation different.
Some pay for just school
Some give stipend, which covers school and housing/food/etc.
Some are on own
