The hashflag is the only worthwhile element of this whole social media campaign. If they sold a plush goat in a W hoodie I'd buy it.

I had no idea that those little icons were called hashflags until you mentioned it the other day, so thank you for that. Every day's a school day, as they say... |

New edition out today. Talked about whether to believe full-season numbers and indicators or recent post-Olympic trends; the contracts that teams might already regrest signing; some all-tie records being broken this season; and the teams making lineup changes this late in the year, whether enforced or otherwise.

I like the comments about the Storm struggling without Stewie. It always puzzles me how a team can set their lineup with only three posts. Do they really think none of their posts will ever get injured or miss time for any reason? When you have three relatively young posts, your chances are better, but it's still like rolling dice. Of course, then there is NY, who seems to think they don't need a post, but I won't even go there.

Yeah, there never did seem to be much effort to actually replace Dupree when that didn't work out. Quinn doesn't seem to have any trust in Burdick, so she's basically pointless outside of an extra practice player. Maybe they tried and couldn't find anyone better they thought was worth bringing in - and obviously you don't mitigate losing Stewart much by having Mack or Cannon on the bench - but they're definitely thin inside. Especially considering that if you think you're a contender then you're probably going through Connecticut and/or Las Vegas at some point. |
