Anyone else think it's pretty unorthodox for Collen to be starting three small guards in Lewis (5-7), Andrews (5-6), and Asberry (5-5)? Unless they're all defensively gifted, I can't see how that doesn't get fully taken advantage of repeatedly come the conference games & beyond.
I also saw that Smith is putting up her best scoring numbers of her college career, and Egbo is shooting over 70% from the field but isn't even averaging more than 12 PPG. Someone's gotta tell the guards to stop chucking up outside shots so much and start force-feeding it inside more.

Are we really surprised at this point that Collen chose to put an ensemble of small guards on the court? I don't even remember hearing any chatter of her targeting wings in the transfer portal.

Yeah, there are so many open spots on that roster, I wonder how much Collen even tried to take advantage of the portal. But even then, Caitlin Bickle is & has been right there, and she was a former Top-50 recruit, so despite her lack of runtime while at Baylor, she couldn’t be that bad. I really don’t get it.
