Toronto Huskies , Charlotte Rush and Denver Gold stick out the most. What city would the 2nd logo be ? Its nice reminds me of the mystics ? Or the city formally known as Sacto!

Denver, San Francisco, or Philadelphia would be awesome!! Several other cities had their chance and gave up (Portland, Orlando, Salt Lake City)

A lot of effort went into these.

I can't imagine a team calling themselves the "Slopes" in this politically correct era.

This makes me wonder about any lingering trademarks on San Francisco Seals.

This, above any of these other teams. At this point though, it'd be nice if they were to add even one team somewhere.

I love these logos, they're very well done. As pilight said, some of the team names are... interesting, but the designs for pretty much all of them look great.

"Toronto Huskies"? Does this mean they will go all-out to draft and sign former UConn Huskies players?

I love the locations - all great markets. Good job by the creators.

But, those names should not survive.

I believe Huskies is a historical Toronto basketball name. I know the Raptors sometimes do their court jerseys with Huskies throwbacks.

The Salt Lake City name was the only one that jumped out as unusable.

Some of the others are not very good names, but I don't recognize any of them as slurs.

The Spirits of St. Louis (plural) was the name of an old ABA franchise in the mid-1970's. They were previously known as the Houston Mavericks and the Carolina Cougars.

I agree that it's not a pretty name, but I had to Urban Dictionary that. I grew up in Seattle in the 90s and have never heard that one before; so maybe it is regionally prevalent?

I was thinking that the Seals was the one that wouldn't get through the Political Correctness test, if any, but Question

If Salt Lake or Orlando were granted expansion teams tomorrow, would they legally even be allowed to use Starzz or Miracle? Or are those brands owned by Vegas/CT?

“San Diego Waves” makes me think of the club team Candice Wiggins runs in her San Diego area, the Wiggins Waves. So, y’know, that team name is a bit too tainted for my liking... Confused

Uni-Watch did an entry on this and removed the Salt Lake entry because of the name.

Yeah I had to look this up also.

I like the Seals and Huskies. Smile Cute. But maybe cuteness it not what a team mascot is supposed to project Laughing

If they put a WNBA team anywhere in TN, and don't name them the Summit, somebody should be fired.

Also, a team called the Waves should be based out of Hampton Roads: plus, it would have a double meaning.

As long as they ask the family first and they approve the idea. Using that title without asking sometimes doesn't go down too well...
