She's (Warren) done for tonight.
That really did not look good.

UCLA unrecognizable here. No movement at all. Just give the ball to Onyenwere and see what happens. So far, not much good. Chou passing up open looks is not a good sign either.

The refs should have taken a look at that. It was probably inadvertent, but geez.
Texas is looking better than it has in a couple of games.

I wonder if they did while she was being looked at?

The thing is Onyenwere was going str8 up with the shot. No side to side or any kind of weird movement. Warren was chest to chest with her and I think maybe got pushed even closer from behind by her own player.

Bruins can’t hit the broad side of a barn with a ball bat tonight.

yep. totally. I can't remember seeing them shooting this poorly all year. It's like they drank soapy water or something.

I'm not too surprised so far, cuz I haven't thought much of UCLA and the PAC12 (other than Fraud) this year, and Close is an average coach going up against one of the best in the business, imo.

Playing a Pac team is a little easier than playing Baylor.

Unless that Pac team is the top seed of this whole Tournament...

I suppose every conference has been called overrated by someone here this season. My choices have been the entire ACC and the Pac12 except for Genghis Cardinal. |

Texas trying to blow it just like Iowa State with a bunch of useless and dangerous dribbling instead of crisp passing. |

UCLA not going to pull the comeback here, but even if they did, would they have the minimum required scholarship players? I thought a team had to have 8 available to play. Since Horvat went out earlier with an injury, then Miller, that only leaves them with six I think?
Anyway a pat on the back to UCLA for hanging in there even on a night when they truly couldn't hit the proverbial side of a barn. And they've had a really decent season with such a limited bench.

That looked more like demolition derby than basketball at times. I felt sorry for Onyenwere at the end. UCLA was just undermanned (well, underwomaned) and that killed them as much as anything.

I believe that in the time of COVID, all you need is five. And from my personal experience in pre-COVID times, sometimes by the end you don't even get that many.

Oh, Pac-12 (10) fans know. Arizona once ended a game with two players I don't know if it has changed since, but I believe the NCAA rule at the time was a team can continue with as few as 2 players. If a team gets down to 1 eligible player, then the refs can call the game - but the refs can allow the game to continue if they believe the 1 player has a chance.
