Per our radio guy, Amy Dilk (starting PG) is not playing today due to a medical issue.

On TV they simply said, "Amy Dilk did not make the trip to San Antonio."

Hope she is OK!

She has been up and down this season so it seems Michigan should have some experience playing without her. But certainly disappointing for Dilk and for Michigan.

Michigan has nice, balanced scoring so far. It’s a good omen that HB and AK have both hit threes.

LB also with a good take. Naz is Naz, per usual.

And now Maddie. They are clicking offensively.

Leigha’s second foul could hurt.

Now an offensive foul on FGCU! Officials have way too quick to call the offensive foul, IMO.

At any rate, I haven't seen Michigan come out this fluid on offense literally all season. they haven't even gone through Naz in a number of possessions.

This is what they looked like in mid-December before their first covid pause.

Naz picked up her 2nd with more than 8 minutes in 2Q. She’s out. Emily Kiser takes her place and scores right away.

38-36 Michigan at the half. The Wolverines managed to keep the lead with Naz and Leigha spending the 2Q on the bench.

U-M is shooting better behind the arc than FGCU.

Interesting game, so far. Not shocking, given the seedings and the fact that they're the only Top 25 teams to face off in the first round.

I'm impressed with FGCU's hustle on defense. If they start matching their season 3%, MI could be in big trouble. Shocked

Yet ANOTHER BS offensive foul call on Naz! Such a freaking flop on a standard post up.

On the other hand, L. Brown is one of the biggest floppers I've seen. That last call was utterly ridiculous.

Name-related malfunction again. Leigha Brown's first name has literally been pronounced as "Leah" this whole time?? Oof... Embarassed

Anywho, very exciting game. Particularly if FGCU loses, is this the year that Karl Smekso leaves for greener pastures?

Brown is taking over the game. Taking what the defense gives her. And Michigan had some beautiful inbounds plays they scored with.

She is finally back to the player that was B1G POW in December. We needed her!

76-61 Michigan and Florida Gulf Coast calls timeout. Leigha is close to a career high.
