The problem for Arkansas is that they’re very undersized all around the floor for a Power-5 team, which is exactly what a any mid-major team is used to. It certainly doesn’t help with containing opponents defensively. Arkansas is simply gonna have to get their scoring going and hope Wright State starts accumulating some misses.

Well, we’ve got another upset brewing. WSU 58-55 with 2 1/2 to go.

Was that 10-second call legit? They had made the pass, but it hadn't been caught yet on the other side of the line. What's the rule?

The post player dribbling off her foot made me LOL. No offense to her...it was just funny in the moment.

Wright State has been clutch! Another made three take a two point lead with 29 seconds remaining.

Even with Merriweather’s Purdue history, she’s still going to get some big offers after this.

They’re doing their best Rutgers impression here in this final minute. Confused

yeah, I wondered the same thing. Does it have to make contact in the frontcourt or just be out of the hands in the backcourt? I dunno.

Shocked Wright St. deserves the win, but I didn't think they would be able to hold onto it.

The difference here though is that Rutgers led the whole game then gave it away at the end, whereas Arkansas has trailed, made the comeback, but then ran out of good juju.

Credit to Wright State who played truly clutch in the last minute. Two swished 3s, a key defensive stop and rebound, then two swished FTs.

Right, which is why I specified here in this final minute. Arkansas’ executing was very hit or miss. Different circumstances between the two games otherwise, you’re right.

Devastating for these Arkansas seniors. My fear is that these seniors try it all again next season and hold off on going pro. Confused I don’t think that’ll happen, but who knows.

It has to make contact in the front court.

Section 10. 10-Second Backcourt
The 10-second count shall begin when a player legally touches the ball in their
team’s backcourt except on a rebound or jump ball. In such case, the 10-second
count shall start on player control. Once the 10-second count begins, an
inbounds player (and their team) shall not be in continuous control of a ball
that is in their backcourt for 10 consecutive seconds. The 10-second count shall
be reset on all stoppages of the game clock except when the opponents cause
the ball to be out of bounds, the team in control retains possession following a
held ball, an administrative technical foul is assessed to the team in control, or
the team in control is granted a timeout.

The relevant rule appears to be 12.3(b)

A ball that is not in contact with a player or the playing court retains the
same status as when it was last in contact with a player or the playing
court.

Looks like it was called correctly.

Wright State looked like the better team with better players the whole game. But I think under normal circumstances this would have been played in Arkansas, which would have changed the result. Arkansas seemed to start their offense with 24 seconds left like the game was tied.
