JMU hosted conference doormat UNCW at the AUBC and probably made them wish they'd stayed home in Wilmington as the Dukes trounced the Seahawks 79-55. Freshman Claire Neff, who had made a couple of cameo appearances previously, made her real debut and it was a sparkler. In 17 minutes of playing time she went 5 for 6 from 3 point land and showed she wasn't a one-trick pony by putting in some fine defensive work and scoring a game-high 19 points. Your loss, Clemson. Kiki Jefferson had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Carol-Anne Obusek was high for the Seahawks with a double-double also, 16 points, 13 rebounds.
Speaking of coaches on the hot seat, I would think Karen Barefoot of UNCW might be. Her Seahawks are 3-10 on the season and 07 in conference play. That's about where they've been since she got there. College of Charleston used to be the doormats of the CAA but they've improved a good bit.
