I’m surprised they’re going ahead with this, but here’s the skinny:

https://womensnit.com/news/2021/2/9/general-postseason-wnit-to-include-32-teams-four-regions-for-2021.aspx

32-team event

Eight teams at four separate sites TBD

No more one and done: “Teams will get a minimum of two games in Rounds 1-3 (March 18-24), with championship and consolation brackets at each site.”

No .500 record requirement

Are they still making teams pay to participate? One of these tournaments, NIT, CBI or another one had schools paying for home games. Well now they have set sites but with the pandemic, will this financial cost be worth it?

The WNIT definitely had schools “bid” financially for games in the past. The better the attendance number projections, the more likely a team would get to host as (edited) Triple Crown Sports got a cut.
