First few minutes, Cochran looks better than I've seen all year. Maybe she's just coming into her own.

well ok, that's more like what I remembered. I just saw that she looked like she was more aggressive going to the basket and actually finished a couple of shots. The first few times I saw her, she looked big but that was about it.
In general, Louis doesn't look so hot here do they?
Neither team shooting very well.

shooting % coming up in the third. That's a good thing. If I were the opponent, I wouldn't want to see Evans with the ball in her hands at the end of a close game. She has the deadly killer instinct.

Louisville is looking kinda rattled here with unforced mistakes.

WHOA Deb Anontelli U has arrived! Wes Moore the best coach NC State has had (Sorry Kay).
Wonder what Deb has to say that Moore has built NC STATE based on DEFENSE and not her beloved O!

Trying to work a clock with 3.5 minutes left is a good way to let the other team back in. Especially on the road.

Heavy is the head that wears the No 1 crown. Is this just another fluke win for a mediocre team as some had said after the SCar win? This is a huge effort, on the road no less. Louisville didn't look so great but neither did SCar. Could be due to NCSt.

Yeah, their emphasis is on defense so obviously there's more to it than meets the eyeball. It really seem like there's no team out there that is a "real" #1 this year. As someone said in another thread we should start the poll at #3. But it means there's opportunity for 'anything can happen' at the final 4. It does make it all kind of fun to watch.

NCSt took the Gamecocks out of the top slot and now they may be putting them back there.

...and the last of the undefeated comes toppling down....
Strong 2nd half effort from the WolfPack, especially so in the 4th Period. For the game, it was four WolfPack players against one Cardinal...

No, I think it was just a Louisville team that was ranked in the top 5 preseason, and was the only team left to be undefeated, despite only having played one single top 25 ranked opponent - DePaul - before tonight. Other than NC State, the only other opponent with as close to a winning record is Tennessee-Martin....
I think we got a better idea of Louisville's true ranking tonight....

NCSU is actually #4 after their loss to VT last week.

No team that's a "real" #1, or several that could be? Are we really bemoaning lack of domination, or is it finally some kind of parity?
