i am in total agreement with Sparks for LIfe. The way she played last season was an example of her potential. Up until this last season we never saw that Candice on the court except for a game every-now-and-then. It is probable that this is the Candice we will see her first year in Chicago. The years after that will be a question mark again, unless she can find some motivation like she did this last season.
I assumed her motivation was her daughter in the bubble with her, but in retroscpect to her signing with Chicago it might have been her playing for this years contract. Players in many different sports often play their best in a contract year. Candice has never had to do that before because she was untradable and a lock to always get resigned by the Spark. There was never any motivation to do so. The putting up a good season for a contract seems likely. I am sure both her and Chelsea Gray confided in each other that last season would be their last in LA.
Oh Clay. Remember when you were not sure if CP was a good defender? Well last season should have answered that question. She just never gave the effort before. The more I think about it, the more I am convinced last seasons effort was for the benefit of her free agent contract for this season.
