This was completely out of the blue considering he was just in the news last week getting the vaccine.
While I never got to see him play in anything other than clips or rebroadcasts, he was one of the people I read and wrote about for those seemingly endless elementary school book reports.
And one of the real few true people who lived up to the legendary status conveyed upon them. |

Is it just me or this the cause of death for Larry King and Hank Aaron conspicuously missing from their death announcements?
I’m reading The NY Times pieces only. But no cause of death, no ‘no cause of death has been given,’ no mention at all of cause of death. That’s unusual.
I know Larry had COVID so I’m going to say that’s the likely cause. Anyway.

Sometimes, I wonder what causes a delay of an news obituary long after his/her death. Maybe the family didn't want to release details until the funeral services?

I read small cell carcinoma of the lung that originated in another part of the body and spread from there to the lungs. Didn’t know that was even a thing. I thought small cell cancer, often referred to as ‘oat cell’ was pretty much exclusively associated with smoking and the lungs.

It's pretty rare. They call it extrapulmonary small-cell carcinoma.
