HmmmOkay. Now....do you not get to keep these *wins* cuz yer points are off? (....seems harsh, but....if it means I am a bit closer to catching you, I'm good with that! Laughing Laughing )

That was exactly my intention had Pureform also put in margin of victory. As is I will calculate both because I still think I can beat you with the handicap. Laughing Laughing

This season's game is over. Pureform tied the first week, then took the lead for good in week 2 and stayed in first the rest of the way. Eventually his lead expanded to 9 games, and even with a few stumbles in the last 2 weeks still won by 7 games. Pureform was the only player to average 60% for the season.

Howie won Week 11 by picking 11 of 18 games correctly, one game ahead of Pilight. The two wound up tied for third. Myrtle was the only player to pick Seton Hall and their "12 year old" point guard, Lauren Park-Lane, over Villanova. The unanimous picks went 1-3 causing the players as a group to wind up at 50% for the final week.

Thanks to everyone for playing. This was a tough year with all the Covid cancellations. The conference tournaments are coming up (the Horizon and America East have already started. I will be posting a game for the tournaments shortly.

Thank you for your effort, Cal. I'm honored to know that I came within a mere 3 games of beating you, and gratified that I managed a 3-game victory over the ever-pernicious Myrtlicious. Razz Laughing Laughing

What's the tie breaker? Number of games you picked solo correctly?

WHAT *tie*? The one for 3rd place? I think Cal said at the beginning that it would come down to the number of times a player correctly picked their Fave Homer Team, i.e., in the case of our tie, how many times did you correctly pick Mercer, and I picked Oregon. That seems right to me. Cool

Okay Here is a tiebreaker for Pilight and Howee

3 games - each worth a different amount so there will be a winner unless you pick all 3 games the same (second tiebreaker - whoever puts their picks in first)

3/5 Ohio St - Rutgers (4 pts)
3/5 Long Beach St - Cal Irvine (3 pts)
3/6 E Michigan - Toledo (2 pts)

Hey, I'm game, as long as I face no penalties that might leave Myrtle ahead of me. Cool

3/5 Ohio St (4 pts)
3/5 Cal Irvine (3 pts) Anteaters rule.
3/6 E Michigan (2 pts)

Razz

FYI, Howee, I heard from Calbearman tonight, but I'll go ahead and make a new thread on this one.
