Here, have the bit of my upcoming article about everyone's cap situation that I'm going to have to re-write anyway since Cambage signed (obviously this changes somewhat if Cambage signed for less than the full supermax)

Richyyy, would you mind posting the link when your article is published?

I know I speak for a number of Rebkell posters when I saw that I am interested in reading your analysis.

Have you done the math, Spooner?

Can they afford 11 or 12 players?

I have them at 11
let's fill in the draft picks and assume Park is out because of the Olympics

Gray/(Pick 12/14) DiDi Richards
Plum/Williams
McCoughtry/J. Young
Wilson/Hamby/(other pick 12/14) N. Jones or Thompson (or Walker if she falls far enough)
Cambage/Cannon

So Cannon, first round pick 12 and 2nd round pick 14 should get it under the
cap

When the rotation gets tighter Wilson can play the 5 when Cambage is off the court.

That is great for the Aces
now they can go with 11 be 5 posts deep and audition two back up PGs with pick 12 and 14 for the last spot (maybe K. Williams vs Richards or Slocum? or pencil Plum in as back up PG and look at Carrington)

The perimeter is solid with Gray, Plum, And Williams along with Young who can also backup Angel at the three.

Their post play needs help in case Cambage decides she can’t show for a season every now and then.

I hope they can snatch up one of Jenna Staiti, Jasmine Walker, or Kate Cain.

Just to be clear, Bill posts as AFO. I am the PR person.

He is probably rolling his eyes reading this compliment.

And thank you. I get to work with a great group of people. We won't always do things perfectly, but we are all passionate about the W, and doing everything we can to elevate the league and our players.

Can we read anything in terms of the college bios you are posting?

Hoping Mack, Guirantes or Onyenwere fall to 12?

I think Richards could be a great fit in Vegas, she can focus on her defense and passing and giving the other teams PG nightmares as they try to dribble up the court or get their shot off on the perimeter.

Scroll to the bottom of that link they have bios for Guirantes , Mack and one more player. Guessing those are the players of interest. I can DEFINITELY see Guirantes playing under AFO. She has that toughness of former shock players imo.

I wouldn't read anything into it.

We will be posting 15-18 of these, and some of the players will probably be gone by the time we select.

And definitely don't read anything into the order in which we are posting. Completely random.

I struggle to see the fit here. Seems like they'd basically be drafting Jackie Young all over again, but an even worse offensive player.

IDK, I guess it could be argued that she is redundant to Young (hopefully in year 3 Young continues to add to her offensive repertoire), but with all the ball dominant or high usage scoring options (Gray, Plum, McCoughtry, Williams, Wilson, Cambage, Hamby) a defensive specialist the can give you some back up Wing and PG minutes seems like a fit to me. OTOH L. Allen could have filled that role and they traded her so maybe not

One small detail. It would be nice if you included heights on the player descriptions. I know these are sometimes a bit airy fairy since most of them aren't accurate, but still it can give at least a ball park.

This graph shows that Unique Thompson led P5 conference players in rpg.

Both players above listed as 6’3 with strong builds.
I wonder if the mysterious poster named AFO is as intrigued as I am? 🤔

Thompson also lead the country with 5.4 offensive rebounds per game.

Does anyone who has seen her play know how many of those were off her own misses? Her FG% dropping 10% between her Junior and Senior years isn't a good stat.

Thompson vs Cheryl Ford is laughable .... Not counting South Florida as P5 to make a point is as well. Unique is a unique player but she’s no cheeky ! I stand by that Wink When I see Thompson play I think Stephanie Mavunga and she was a great pick up at the end of the day although traded during her rookie contract is not a great sign .

You should probably research what P5 means. I’m factually correct. If you’re saying P5 doesn’t matter, then I’ll point out the differences in level of competition within the conferences.

I’m not suggesting Thompson is a #1 pick. Not at all. But she could be available at #12. That’s why talking about her in here.
