I wonder if they made an offer to Reshanda Gray, and that's part of the reason that New York fashioned a deal to be able to sign her properly themselves. |

The WNBA salary cap rules make no sense. They're like the US Tax Code after special interests are done with it.

Yeah, the full-salary cap addition with midseason trades who have already gotten half that money is... quirky, to say the least.
But nonetheless, I'm excited to see how the rest of the season shapes up with the progression of our bench if tonight's game was a preview of what's to come!

💀💀 why do I feel like she’s coming back to Phoenix |

Again, I’d suggest Elizabeth Williams for one of our three 2RPs. She’s not a good starter anymore, but I think she’d be fine in a smaller backup role. |
When you trade for someone, you take on their entire cap figure for the season. 119,000 doesn't fit very easily into 30,000. |
Yeah, they'd have to put someone like Epiphanny Prince in the deal |
Way to go pilight - you just found a deal to get rid of E Will that is worse than keeping her.....

The Storm didn’t want Stewart defending the opposing team’s post player, and Dupree was significantly disadvantaged in those matchups. |
Gee, I wonder why. |
Plenty of obvious reasons that don't diminish Stewart.

The days don't start counting down until the season re-starts, by the way. But apparently they're going to let her play in the Commissioner's Cup final. So she could technically play in a game before her contract begins, sort of. It's a weird situation. |

The Commissioner's Cup is outside the time/space continuum

There might be a Space Jam joke in here somewhere but I can't brain enough to get to it.

Quinn was the No. 4 overall draft pick by Minnesota in 2007 after a successful collegiate career at UCLA. She spent two seasons with the Lynx (2007-08 ), three with San Antonio (2009-11), one in Washington (2012), two in Seattle (2013-14), 1-1/2 years in Phoenix (2015-16), then was traded back to Seattle midway through 2016. She retired following the 2018 season, finishing her career with 1,824 points, 1,011 rebounds, 878 assists and 256 steals in 382 games. |
I assume that the three years in San Antonio meant LA? She didn't play for the Stars, correct?

For those who like to analyze players' heights in these kinds of team photos, here's the Storm's current roster. (Original Post)
Back Row, L to R: Stephanie Talbot (listed at 6-2), Kennedy Burke (6-1), Ezi Magbegor (6-4), Mercedes Russell (6-6), Breanna Stewart (6-4), Katie Lou Samuelson (6-3), Cierra Burdick (6-2).
Front Row, L to R: Kiana Williams (5-8), Jewell Loyd (5-10), Sue Bird (5-9), Jordin Canada (5-6), Epiphanny Prince (5-9).
Not that you'd be able to compare their heights with them sitting, but maybe you still wanna know who's who.

Storm signs forward Cierra Burdick for remainder of season
I really don't get this at all. Quinn didn't even put her in against Chicago with Stewart out. What impact could she possibly be making on the team to where we'd want to commit to her for the rest of the season? Waste of a contract & roster spot if you ask me.
