He was the head coach for the Prairie View A&M Panthers women's hoops team for 21 years, from 1984-2005, even though his won-loss coaching record was 138-423. Surprised

After he stepped down as coach, Cynthia Cooper took over.

In 1968-1976, he played in the NFL for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Houston Oilers.
