The Sky have not shown me anything new that indicates that they are not vacation bound. Unless Stevens pulls a Willis Reed imitation and can play again.

I swear to God, if the Sky don’t come out with a sense of urgency with this being the anniversary of Hamby’s half court shot then I’m done with this team.

Just kidding, I put up with 06-12, so clearly I ain’t going nowhere.

Wish both teams didn't have to matchup with each other here. Rooting for Chicago since their overall window of contention seems tighter than the Sun's.

Good effort by the league to make it to the playoffs without any major Covid incidents.

Let's go Sky! I know you're #NATC but let's end someone else's season before flaming out.

playing thru Parker is perhaps not the best strategy.

Haha the And1 that they talked about. I know Bonner didn’t get a call where she hit the floor at least once in the first quarter. Notice I didn’t say she was fouled, just that she hit the floor. Bonner is the worst in the league, to me, at flopping or initiating contact to get calls. She has done it for years.

I will say that Chicago won’t shoot as many free throws when you shoot more jumpers. Take it to the hoop to make the refs call the foul.

They keep saying how good of a passer Dolson is, especially from the top of the key. That shouldn’t be the best thing to say about your 5.

Felt like the Sky were swimming upstream all half trying to keep their score moving but that was a nice last couple of minutes to keep things interesting.

I agree with the refs about that being a common foul. It wasn’t just because LoboCo said they thought it should be flagrant. Haha

ryan: "what does Chicago need to do here?"
lobo: "well, uh, uh, they need to take care of business on the defensive end first"

IOW, she didn't think they could do anything about it...

January has basically vanished Quigley and Copper's no match for Bonner. What are they supposed to do, play through the "MVP"?

This is one of the most pitiful and disgusting efforts I’ve seen from the Sky in a long time. Pathetic.

Atlanta or Dallas should’ve got this playoff spot.

No answer for Alyssa Thomas, but Chicago desperately needed Sloot and Quigley to hold up 1-on-1 defensively given how limited Connecticut's guards are, and neither has been able to do it.

January and J. Thomas are 3-11 and 3-10 respectively scoring 15 points total. Now they do have 8 assists between them, but to me it’s Chicago’s frontcourt that didn’t hold up defensively. Alyssa Thomas has 10 offensive rebounds and Jones has 6, that’s on the posts.

Chicago has no athleticism in their posts without Stevens. Gabby Williams is athletic, but she's not a post! (And she ain't even 6 feet.) Sky had no one available that could handle Alyssa Thomas, and everyone knew it.

Agreed. I think the Sky with DeShields and Stevens back next year will be a very formidable team.
