It's interesting that he talked about protecting lives. The only lives lost have been George Floyd and protesters killed by cops.

i think it's both, and i think at this point we waste valuable brain cells trying to decipher exactly which and how many psycho-social defects he suffers.

Yeah, the five police officers who were shot last night are inconsequential, not to mention the others who've been injured and the non-participatory thousands whose homes and livelihood have been decimated by the rioters and looters. If anyone thinks these protests are going to help "bridge the racial divide," they're insane.

They're not dead. The vast majority of injuries in these protests were caused by the cops.

i'm disappointed that a lightning bolt didn't come down from the heavens and strike him dead where he stood. that would be some evangelism i could get behind. |
C'mon Sambista....that'd be way too EASY on him. We can do MUCH better than that.
I'd prefer to picture that bolt of lightning barely missing him, but striking down all his body guards. THEN....he runs like the big pussy he is, with his detractors chasing him down into some dark hallways of the white house, where they catch him, drag him out and strip him down to his skivvies.
After a few (REALLY good) photos -- reminding him they'll be in Biden's campaign ads -- more video footage with Stormy Daniels, who just happened to be in the crowd, spanking him with that Bible. And Nancy comes out and cuts all his hair off, holding the tangled mess up like an Indian taking a scalp. Then, after a good spraying with the gas used on protesters, he's escorted back to the Rose Garden, where he is unceremoniously pushed into a few of the bushes.
(Oy. I'm thinking I've been in quarantine too long! )

If you truly believe that all lives matter, you should be out protesting the cops who took someone's life.

Believing all lives matter means feeling disgusted with cops who killed a cooperative suspect as well as protesters/rioters who shot or ran over cops. Conducting a protest of one in a village of 200 here probably isn't going to accomplish much.

No cops have lost their lives during these protests. All the death has been at the hand of the cops.

Why are there many arrests if there's no problems?

Take a guess who said this...
Quote: |
It seems like now is the time to say, 'I understand your pain, I want to comfort you, I think it's time we love each other.' But the President took a different course, he said 'I am the President of law and order,' and he issued a heads up. He said, 'I'm ready to send in military troops if the nation's governors don't act to quell the violence that has rocked American cities.' In fact, he spoke of them as being jerks. You just don't do that, Mr. President. It isn't cool! |

President Donald Trump and the first lady visited Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, and were greeted by protesters.
Quote: |
This comes one day after the president staged a visit to the historic St. John's Church across from the White House, where he held up a Bible after authorities had cleared the area of peaceful protesters.
Washington Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory released a statement Tuesday about the visit to the shrine:
"I find it baffling and reprehensible that any Catholic facility would allow itself to be so egregiously misused and manipulated in a fashion that violates our religious principles, which call us to defend the rights of all people even those with whom we might disagree. Saint Pope John Paul II was an ardent defender of the rights and dignity of human beings. His legacy bears vivid witness to that truth. He certainly would not condone the use of tear gas and other deterrents to silence, scatter or intimidate them for a photo opportunity in front of a place of worship and peace."

so i just had a mini-movie play in my mind's eye. melania comes outside for this photo op at the church (yesterday), where photogs can capture her, but they haven't quite set out for the church. she's wearing a mask. tripe comes up, says something to her, she shakes her head and adjusts her mask. then he snatches the mask off and slaps her (unaware of photogs). she grits her teeth and slaps him back, and he falls to the ground. all captured on video.
if only.
but seriously, did you see that death grip he had on melania's hand? and that non-expression she held the whole time? i can't wait for her to tell her story.
