Morning kids.

We're going to try and start an interview series with former Aces/Stars/Silver Stars/Starzz legends, and I'm doing a test run with Natalie Williams in the next several days.

Any of you old timers have any questions you would like me to ask? Beyond the basics.

I'm afraid we're locked out of our offices at the moment, so I don't have access to all of the newspaper and magazine clips we have from that era. If you all have access to any, particularly feature stories, I'd appreciate if you could send me a copy.

If you have questions, please shoot them to my yahoo account (johnsmaxwell@yahoo.com). Accessing the work email account can be a bit hit or miss during the work-from-home era.

Very Happy

Thanks everybody.

If you want to, I'd be curious to hear about her days in the ABL.

A couple things:

1) Looking back, did playing two sports seriously for many years help or hinder her development in one or both? And how much did volleyball help basketball, and vice versa? And was there a difference in the interplay between the two? In other words, did volleyball help more with basketball than basketball with volleyball?

2) Late in her career, she had issues with her feet. (I remember her soaking both feet in buckets of ice after every game.) Do she still have problems with her feet due to athletics? Are there any other physical issues she's had to live with due to her career in sports?

Didn’t she have twins? How are they? Do they play ball?
Toughest opponent. Favorite WNBA memory?

Also, she coached in high school, as I recall. What did she think of her experience at that level? How would she rate the coaching? Were the girls on her team basketball fans? Did they follow the WNBA?

Is she still coaching? If not, why did she stop, and will she return?

Do you think that they're trying to phase "pure" bigs out of the W, like they did in the men's league? And, if so, do you have an opinion on that?

Questions for Natalie are:

1. Who is the hardest player that she defended in her career?

2. Do you think your rank among the all-time greats is understated?

3. What is the highlight or highlights of your basketball career? (She'll probably say winning 2000 Olympic Gold but I thought to just ask anyway).

That's a great question, Clay.

How do you think your career wouldve panned out had you stuck with volleyball? Do you ever look back and wonder what if? (She was basically a generational player at her position in volleyball...still mindblowing that she was left off the 96 team)

Favorite memory as a WNBA player during a game?

Which player did you most enjoy playing with on the court and who was your fav off the court?

Any favorite memory of Margo Dydek/ what was something about her that not many people knew?

I'm glad someone noticed. In the NBA, they really need to just refer to everyone as a forward or guard. Almost every player listed as a center wants to be a three-point specialist. It's annoying. The only pure centers in the league that come to mind are Gobert and Capela (whose game I'm a fan of), Steven Adams, Marcin Gortat and DeAndre Jordan.

What is the craziest thing that ever happened in a game?
