If any a team to go under screens against, it would be the Aces right?
Leading the league in 3pt percentage, but taking the least (10 per game) and making the least (4 per game) compared to the next lowest (the Dream who make 5.9 per game while attempting 17.9).
Liberty are 5th in makes (7.Cool while leading the league in attempts (29.2), while at the very bottom in percentage (26.9%).

Who will be tasked first with slowing down points per game league leader A’ja Wilson, Zahui Blocks or Stokes?
Can the Liberty make enough 3s to keep this game close? 12-32 in our last game for 37.5%, our only win of the season which is already a quarter of the way done.

My favorite two teams squaring off today, hopefully a fun one!

New York leads the league in three-pointers attempted. Las Vegas leads the league in three-point field goal defense. They're also second in the league in point differential, while playing at the league's fastest pace. Doesn't sound like good news for the Liberty.

Liberty lead at the end of 1. Clearly not 'hungover' or complacent from their last game. Love to see it!

I know Walt Hopkins wants Kiah Stokes to keep shooting three-pointers. But I don't. Sorry, I don't care if she hits 10,000 in a row in practice. I remain skeptical that she'll ever hit two in a row in a game. Kiah does other valuable things. She can be valuable... but not in that way.

Liberty’s first unit was pretty good to start. The bench couldn’t quite continue but did enough to keep the lead.

I would not take New York only being up seven with the two of them combined for two points to be an encouraging sign; you're probably not going to hold both of them down in the second half.

Joyner Holmes actually made that step-back jumper. Shocked

Jaz Jones down the stretch of the half was playing a little fast for my tastes, but I don't mind her urgency in & of itself - just 'time & place'.

Odom imo fits right in with the starters. While she's prone to a rookie mistake or two, she's imo the most consistent rookie right now, whether she does a little scoring (she actually leads the team in FG%), gets offensive rebounds, or both. But some people didn't even have her making the roster! Wink Nah, I get why - that said, she's here now. Cool

Odom really developing now that she’s out of Duke’s hands.

Vega might want to get out to AZB on the 3-point line now.

Could we just have replays of commercial (even reruns) during breaks instead of the Sue and Diana show and endless reruns from other games?

Liberty's best offensive plan the past seven quarters has been good off-the-ball movement, timely 3PT shots, and getting to the FT line.

Which is why a few people on this board - myself included - really want to see Gorecki get a chance. She being the Storm's 3rd-rounder of the Draft is at least as good if not better than our 1st-rounder. Evil or Very Mad

Hopkins has this look in his face the reminds me of some cartoon character. I'm think it's the Grinch, but I'm sure.

Holmes is playing well tonight. These fouls are killing NY though.

If Laimbeer doesn't trust McCoughtry to play her way out of a slump, they're going to continue to have problems in games where she and McBride are both struggling. And I don't know what McBride's reputation is like, but McCoughtry's CV is full of games where she was bad in the first half (or even three quarters), and came up nails in the fourth.

If Nurse could just hit a shot... Confused Liberty have gotten no offense from the SG position since Ionescu's injury.

Now why didn't I say something ultra-specific like "If Nurse could just hit five shots" Laughing Rolling Eyes I'll just go ahead and say it now: If Nurse could just hit five shots... Confused
