I do. And I've come away with the same basic summary of what's *different* this time around. However....SO FAR....it's still close enough that I'm not allowing any dreams of a landslide. Razz (yet)

Re: the e-mails? If that's the GOP's big "October S'prise", meh. Who can begin to count the ill-gotten $$$ of 45's offspring? But....NONE of them are running for president.

Yeah, not super confident in the landslide prediction. But I will say that if we were to chart potential outcomes by likelihood of their occurance, I would rank "Biden wins in landslide" above "Trump wins the election". I think the most likely outcome is probably "Biden wins comfortably".

As far as the debate it was much better this time around. Both were much more substantive. Unlikely to move the needle in either direction, which is very bad news for Trump. Ultimately Biden staked out the much more popular positions and Trump preached to his base. The people most happy with the debate will probably be Biden's camp and down ticket GOP candidates who might have seen their chances completely destroyed had Trump repeated his first debate. While his performance won't change his fate, he did manage to not nuke the entire ticket this time.

Trump still didn't outline any plans on how he's going to get anything done. No plan for Coronavirus, no plan for climate change, no plan for healthcare, no plan for racial issues, no plan for (insert whatever).

All he could do was try to smear Biden's family, say he knows more than science/medical experts, and how clean and wonderful the cages are that HIS administration put kids in whose parents they now can't find.

How anyone can vote for him is beyond comprehension. He has nothing. He IS NOTHING!!!!

I hope they can recognize it better than they allegedly could recognize Russian collusion.

Nice, you can recite Biden's conspiracy theories. I don't think money laundering is a "nothing burger" like you're hoping it is.

Polls show Trump is at least as popular as any Republican president with the mostly Democratic hispanics and African Americans (Asians don't get much of a mention yet). And that is with the press and pundits repeatedly labeling a statement he makes as racist. Trump was mentioned in rap songs until he ran for office. And I only hear him labeled racist or saying as she does that he "wants to divide us".

I have serious doubts that any genuine polls reflect that. And I also have no doubt that 45 is not only one of the more bigoted presidents in history, but he's certainly one of the most unafraid (in recent history, at least) to be labeled as such. And in 2020, that figures even more heinously into the scenario: undoubtedly, the worst bigots were operating while slavery was still legal, or shortly thereafter, not 150 years later. His code-speak and dog-whistles are abhorrent, and his inability to roundly and unequivocally denounce ALLLLLLL supremacy groups speaks for itself. He's a bigot extraordinaire.

"....mentioned in rap songs...." proves WHAT?? 2Pac put Mussolini in his lyrics, too. I'd not point to that as a ringing endorsement.

If he was "unafraid to be a bigot" you wouldn't have to resort to claiming code-speak and dog-whistle statements were made.

What is your #1 racist thing that Trump has said?

Trump has denounced white supremacists (not a significant issue in the country despite the press hysteria) multiple times, including right after Charlottesville during the "very fine people on both sides" press conference. But Trump does not like it when a reporter brings it up again and dramatically says to him "will you here and now denounce...". So he doesn't make the obvious statement (which he has already made in the past).

It does seem like if Don Jr. was accused of owning that laptop, Trump would be asked some obvious questions that Biden is not getting asked:

Did your son leave that laptop with the repair shop?
Are the emails we have seen legitimate?
If the answer to both is yes, what are you accusing the Russians of doing?

Joe Biden said so during the debate. Clearly that's good enough for some people.

Rather than quietly trying to settle — as another New York developer had done a couple of years earlier — he turned the lawsuit into a protracted battle, complete with angry denials, character assassination, charges that the government was trying to force him to rent to “welfare recipients” and a $100 million countersuit accusing the Justice Department of defamation.

Then, there's the "Mexican judge" who couldn't possibly give him a fair trial, all the Mexican rapists coming across the border, etc., etc.

He 'resorts' to dog-whistling now, no doubt, as his handlers have some impact on reining him in. Doesn't change the obvious.

Quiz: Can You Tell a ‘Trump’ Fridge From a ‘Biden’ Fridge?

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/10/27/upshot/biden-trump-poll-quiz.html

Quote:
We wondered if it was possible to identify Trump and Biden voters based on what's inside their refrigerators. So we teamed up with Lucid, an online survey platform, to ask a representative sample of U.S. residents whom they’re planning to vote for — and whether they'd open their refrigerators and take a picture of the contents. Hundreds did.

Peer inside and see if you can tell.

Inside the Democrats’ battle to take back Texas

Quote:
Expectations for their party are rising. Joe Biden, the Democrat presidential candidate, is trailing Trump in Texas by just four points and has invested several million dollars there to boost his campaign and help other races. Democrats are also raising record amounts of money, helping to return the Lone Star state to serious battleground status for the first time in years. The Ladjevardian-Crenshaw fight is the eighth most expensive congressional contest of the 435 races this November.

They apparently excluded the likes of Adam Levine and Justin Timberlake for being pro gay rights, butttt....

Was expecting from the last five years, but you went back over 40 years to when he was in his 20's commenting on a lawsuit started when his father was company president. And the quote refers to "welfare recipients". To make that racist you would have to call it "code speak" or"dog whistle". Clear racist statements say "this racial/ethnic group is ...".

Quote:

The comment about the Mexican judge was referred to as "textbook racism" by Paul Ryan. Except it didn't say anything not backed up by statistics - Mexicans were so upset with Trump for his defamatory remarks against illegal migrants that polls showed some huge amount, like 85% or more, had an unfavorable opinion of him. So it was extremely likely that the judge in question would have an unfavorable opinion of him and, despite all the bullshit about judges putting their bias aside because that's their job, the judge would very likely be biased against him in the case.

His comment about illegal migrants (not Mexicans) from Mexico being rapists was (as he told Don Lemon one night) based on a report detailing the amount of women (something like 70+%) who migrate up through Mexico to the USA illegally and are raped during their journey. Although, they probably are raped by people in Mexico who are remaining in Mexico, not fellow migrants as Trump appeared to think did it. But anyway, Trump was referring to illegal migrants, and saying they were "not Mexico's best". Illegal migrants are not a race.

It will be interesting to see if the exit polls show him increasing the 8% black (4% black women, 13% black men) and 28% Latino vote they said he got in 2016. There are claims that he is increasing his appeal to black men and younger voters of both groups.

You're so CONCRETE, darlin'....you struggle to delineate any opposition argument against what is an unwinnable argument. Howz 'bout the comment that he didn't want blacks counting his money, only the "little guys with yarmulkas"?? I mean, it's endless, but....continue on with your delusion. You're certainly not alone.

Well, you certainly aren’t alone in calling him clearly racist. All of the Democratic media and punditry and all of the Democratic politicians are right with you . But what they call racist appears to be referring to statements that are not specifically about qualities or characteristics of an ethnic/racial group (e.g. “China virus”, “needs to fix his high crime rat-infested Baltimore district”) You refer to private alleged comments made decades before he ran for president, and yet he is “unafraid to be a bigot” (and according to Joe Biden’s ad he is Hitler incarnate). It should be easy to give multiple definitive public clear racist statements from the last five years that demonstrate he is “unafraid to be a bigot”. If he isn’t doing that, then it seems, at worst, he is afraid to be a bigot.

Really? Is this any way to act? In a civilized society??

I hope that the cops round up the people involved and they are still sitting in jail waiting for bail on election day and missed voting. Or better, if you do stupid shit like this to interfere with a campaign your ballot is voided. We somehow have to bring back decency to our country or we will not have one.

You might not believe cheeto is a white supremacist...but the white supremacists believe he's one of their own. They fly Confederate flags alongside Trump flags. Neo Nazis wear MAGA hats. They only endorse candidates when they are 100% confident the candidate is one of them.

I have driven all over rural North Carolina and Georgia. The two flags are flown intertwined. They themselves describe the choice of Trump is "a no brainer." Indeed, this is true. No brain involvement. Just skin.

The guy who is given credit for organizing the Charlottesville rally Richard Spencer, has endorsed Joe Biden. So Joe Biden is also a white supremacist if we follow your logic.

Apparently white supremacists don't believe in enforcing workplace hiring laws which is violated by rich employers and non-white illegal alien workers as Trump has never done it or even said he would do it. He mentioned e-Verify (a system to verify if a worker is a legal resident) only one time that I could find (The Resistance should give him props for also not enforcing immigration law in the workplace just like previous presidents - the rich were able to continue to not hire Americans). Nor has Trump ever called for ending or slowing the infinite immigration policy which is utilized almost exclusively by non-whites. Just what do white supremacists and neo-Nazis advocate if not enforcing immigration law and ending legal immigration? It seems like if you are referring to yourself or being labeled by others as a white supremacist, and yet don't actively protest a policy that will make whites a minority by 2050 (by one prediction), your label needs to be changed.

So per the polls, Biden wins easily. Kills in the national polls and is ahead in the battleground states. Saw an article today that said battle ground polls are not moving to Trump. And yet, there is one pollster who thinks Trump will win - Trafalgar Polls run by Robert Cahaly.

He is being dismissed by everyone else including Nate Silver, and his 2016 correct prediction is being referred to as not enough to make him special. That is, just got lucky. He responds by saying that he also got the 2018 Florida governor race correct and has a better accuracy than other pollers on the races he has predicted. He feels that people aren't honest with pollsters which apparently is the only way you can get to a Trump victory right now.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0BOhRCeoMzM" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Scott Adams is not a pollster, but predicted Trump would win in 2016 and thinks he will win in 2020. He is sure that a significant number of people are lying to pollsters, apparently based on the enthusiasm you see among a small fraction of voters, for Trump. The car trains, boat flotillas and other rallys at park. But as one woman said on 60 minutes - she was 100% sure she was voting against Trump. She didn't commit to being enthusiastic for Biden. Biden doesn't need enthusiastic voters, just enough people who hate Trump.

Trump rally the other day in Butler, PA north of Pittsburgh. He says essentially the same thing in each rally, but they still wanted to hear it again live, in the middle of a pandemic...
