Weird that he says "we play," when he just got to Austin.

It's called "Texas Talk". Folksy, etc.

I do believe it may have caused Longhorns in the past to think Miss Gail was too *uppity* cuz she tawked like she wuz edumacated 'n all.

I never heard Karen talk with that twang, but I suspect she was comfy with it, and may have reverted to it, as needed....who knows.

I lived in Houston for almost six years. I had a native Texan a long time ago tell me that their favorite pastime down there is eating burnt brisket and drinking Lone Star beer.
