So the Sparks looked like the #1 team in the League against the Merc. Then they played the short-handed Sky, a game that the Sky ended up running away with. And in the Merc's previous game, 100+ points were given up to the also-short-handed Fever. So what does this mean for the Sparks now? And how long will the Sun's hunger for their first win last here until it just turns into tiredness? Mystery & intrigue abound...

My gut feeling two days ago was that the Sparks would be over confident and take their game too lightl and probably lose. Well they coming back to prove something and it is highly unlikely the lose this one.

WNBA.com headline has LA and CT both looking for their 1st win!! Hard to respect a website that stupid.

I picked the Sun but maybe the Sparks will care enough to play hard enough to wing. We know the Sun will play hard.

Why the surprise? Haven't you been listening to the announcers covering the games/ They often seem totally oblivious to the very games they are even supposed to be covering. The media, in general , seems to have become goal displaced in respect to their own role. In todays reality, they seem to be under the impression that they, themselves, are the first priority.

really don't care for this small line-up for the Sun with A Thomas at the 5 & Bonner at the 4.

Is that Kari Korver on the Sparks sideline?

EDIT: Had to do one Google search to find the answer. What are the duties of the Director of Basketball Operations? Seems like a pretty sweet title for someone who's what...25, 26?. Good for her!

so wnba pregame story about Bonner:

Quote:
The 11-year veteran and former UConn star has made a quick adjustment to the Sun, scoring 48 points in the first two games, but the Sun are still facing their first 0-3 start since losing their first four games in 2017.

LA's lack of post depth is going to hurt them.

You wouldn't think Connecticut would be a team that could take advantage, though. They have even less post depth and nowhere near the post quality.

Brionna Jones guarding Augustus.

Curt Miller makes me laugh, sometimes..

I am 90% sure Augustus decided to go to the Sparks for personal reasons, and nothing about the Lynx.

At least the Sparks turned back the Sun. After that 0-3 sweep in last season's playoffs, the Sparks have no business not showing up for the Sun. Pure team pride should provide ample motivation.

I just got home. Let me sit back and give this game a look-see.

B Jones is just awful. No way she gets a contract extension after this season. I want to see more of Mompremier, but Miller isn't giving her much of a chance.

+1 Jones has hit her ceiling . I dont see her getting any better than what she is now , at best a back up post in this league .

Washington being 3-0 to me.

Connecticut isn’t too surprising, only have two consistent offensive threats and one of those threats has been asked to guard Parker, Ogwumike, Fowles, Hines-Allen, Messeman, etc..

Im loving Te'a Cooper's energy. Candace Parker really looks healthy even on a one day rest to the point where she was even playing defense.

Is a pick & roll or pick & pop the only plays in Fisher playbook? Confused

Nice to see Gray get going on offense because LA is better when she's having good night scoring.

Bonner is still good.
