This is a somewhat off topic because it mostly deals with a men's referee. It does at least mention the women's tourney.

It touches on the effect of cancelling the tourneys on the refs. Mostly seems like a story about what a bad ass this guy thinks you need to be to be a good ref. And maybe that is true in men's bball, IDK. Maybe it's also true for the women, IDK. I think that some refs in the women's game appear that way, but others, most actually, don't seem to have the attitude this guy does.

we're not getting our money's worth......mid majors seem to have terrible refs .....

True that!! And the CAA shares refs with the ACC, yet they seem to always send us their worst and dimmest.
