They just said there will be no more debates.

I am not seeing that right now, but if true makes me wonder if the Debate Commission wanted an excuse to get rid of them. In theory the debate on the 15th is a day early for a 14 day quarantine, but the debate on the 22nd is outside of that.

You seem to be assuming he won’t get sick. Why is that? Is this all a hoax?

You need to read all the posts. I had just said that he could be in the hospital when the debates are to take place and dead by the election. My point regarding a quick cancellation - if that is true - is that they are suggesting he wil definitely be too sick, rather than waiting to see if he is, perhaps a sign they were looking for an excuse to cancel.

It's too late to change the ballots. Trump will remain the nominee.

Yeah. People are actually voting for a ticket, not just a person. So if the top of the ticket bites it, the normal process of the vice president assuming the presidency comes into play. They would then nominate, and the senate would vote to confirm or not, their replacement as VP.

ND President Father Jenkins.

He was at the ceremony for Amy Coney Barrett (can we just call her 'hotdog'?) last weekend. He was photographed not wearing a mask. Students have been calling on him to resign because of his hipocracy. He's apparently been all over the students about masks and social distancing.

And you sure don't want to lose to a dead guy. (Example: In 2000, U.S. Senator John Ashcroft ran for reelection of his state of Missouri, but lost to
Missouri Governor Mel Carnahan who died in a plane crash just three weeks before the election happened. The deceased Carnahan won. Mel's wife was selected to fill her late husband's seat.) Surprised

I just saw that Kellyanne Conway tested positive for Covid as well.
Seems like the Mike Pence Coronavirus task force isn't doing a great job.

I thought that she had stepped away from the WH and Trump?

Yes, she said that in the end of August which was supposed to be effective the next week. But she was at the Amy Coney Barrett event where it may have been spread.

Quote:
Conway on Saturday attended a ceremony in the Rose Garden at the White House where Trump officially nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court.

Other attendees — including Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), and Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins — all announced Friday that they tested positive for the virus.

It's not that unusual for dead guys to win. Our Title IX hero, Congressional Rep. Patsy Mink died a week after the primary and won the general. Ed Case won the special election a couple months later.

And now....CHRIS CHRISTIE! Shocked

He went tout suite to the hospital; given his size and his asthma he apparently was not interested in tempting fate....

My local news announced this and ran a video of Barron and his parents walking across the White House lawn. But they must have gotten the video from 2017 archives. Because he looked this big:

When he is actually this big (at 14):

I saw the footage from yesterday. The TALL footage. Isn't Trump like 6'3"-6'4"?

That kid's only 14. He looks like he's 3-4" taller than Trump already.

And he looks so sad.

Trump is 6'2" or 6'3". Melania is 5'11" and usually wears heels. Barron must be at least 6'6" from that recent photo.

to start, 45 has bad slouchy posture. a friend says that Melania had an affair with an eastern European basketball player & that explains Barron's height.

Being the only kid in the White House can't be much fun. And anywhere he goes I think the secret service has to follow. Imagine him and his mother going to the store to buy new school clothes. I remember reading that Chelsea Clinton showed up to a Stanford party and attendees suddenly noticed guys in suits in the room. I don't think it's being fair to your kids to run for president before they are at least 18. But it helps if there are two or more to keep each other company. In Barron's case, growing up at the top of a luxury tower in Manhattan which is only partly residential may not have made it easy to spend a lot of time with local friends either. But yeah, his father is a crochety domineering self-centered 74 year old. Mom seems nice though.
