No president can implement programs that would cost tens of trillions of dollars, such as free medical care for all ....and anyone that believes and votes on such promises is ill-informed, a sucker, or a hopelessly unrealistic utopian idealist.

The absurd part is that THERE ARE FUNCTIONING MODELS OF WHAT IS POSSIBLE, WORKING WELL RIGHT NOW. But....go ahead, Glenn....continue to fear the Boogeymen the Republicans show you. Talk about suckers.Laughing

"Free" medicare for all has never been promised. There IS a cost. "Tens of Trillions of Dollars" is what WILL be spent on medical expenses, regardless, in our very flawed health care system. But the patients aren't the biggest beneficiaries; that would be Big Pharma and Insurance Companies. No one ever suggested "Tens of Trillions of Dollars" ADDED onto our tax burden.

"Tens of Trillions of Dollars" like the ones our Government freely and recklessly tosses into the Corporate Military Complex? We can come up with the $$ to kill countries, but not help our own. Why is it NO ONE ever questions how can we ever afford "Tens of Trillions of Dollars" to fund our military? [hint: see how many Senators have stock in Lockheed, Haliburton, et.al.]
