Sources: The NBA and ESPN plan to televise a HORSE competition is nearing completion and among those expected to participate include Chris Paul, Trae Young and Zach LaVine. Competition will also include a couple of WNBA players and recent NBA alumni.

So what WNBA players would you like to see?

Delle Donne and Ogunbawale. Elena because she's great at everything, and Arike because she's young, exciting, and has the potential to catch on fire and win some fans for the WNBA. Also, I want to throw a bone to all the Arike fans who I argued with about Rookie of the Year last season. Smile

The NBA HORSE Challenge will include a couple of WNBA stars, including Tamika Catchings, and fairly recent NBA alumni playing in a single-elimination format.

Players would be filmed competing at home locations -- on indoor or outdoor courts -- and compete shot for shot in the traditional playground game. All first-round matchups will be Sunday from 7-9 p.m. ET on ESPN, with the semifinals and championship happening April 16 from 9-11 p.m. ET on ESPN.

guess they don't want someone who can actually shoot. Catch was a great player but her greatness was not in her shooting ability.

The perfect player for this would be Izzy with all of her trick shots.

Bump.

These were done in advance, but are they really going to squeeze this into 2 hours?

Conley has his own indoor court while Catchings played in her driveway in cold, windy conditions. Cause that's fair.

Watching televised HORSE on grainy-ass 1985 RadioShack cameras is about as entertaining as you would think...

If you listened closely you could hear a great tinkling sound, like thousands of shards of glass being dropped against the pavement, as the fragile masculinity of untold multitudes was simultaneously shattered, forcing them, eyes wild and unfocused as if having stared into the abyss as a great horror feasted upon their souls, to stumble their way to their last bastion of solace: the comment section.

^Let Allie win the tournament and it's really going to be fun reading the comments.lol

The irony that these women have the utmost respect from their male counterparts but not beer belly losers wasting away on their sofa.

Quigley has the chance to win the Horse competition. Just as long as she is not required to do anything that only someone who is six feet seven inches tall can only do. Yes, and with a thirty inch vertical leap. Wink

Unfortunately for Quigley, her opponent in the next round has, like, a forty-plus inch vertical... So watch him try something like, "Bank shot, from the free throw line, while you jump over this thirty-gallon trash can."

Basketball Livestream Accidentally Illustrates the Wealth Gap Between Women and Men Athletes

https://jezebel.com/basketball-livestream-accidently-illustrates-the-wealth-1842837414

Quote:
In a surprising turn of events, the competition also included two WNBA players who, shockingly enough, do not live on palatial estates with elaborate indoor courts attached, instead competing from their perfectly average suburban homes, complete with ad-hoc basketball hoops. The pay gap between NBA and WNBA players is nothing new, but to see it displayed so perfectly in side by side streams of players on their home courts punctuates the disparity better than words.

so Quigley loses to LaVine who did athletic acrobatic stuff instead of shooting.
