OrSU against Colorado. Pivec going for a triple double. Probably won't quite make it but impressive.

ND is doing well at Syracuse. It was tied at 31 at the half. It's currently ND 45 SU 39 4:40 3rd quarter. Destiny Walker has 19 points, Brunelle and Vaughn have 12 each. Engstler and Lewis have 14 each.

ND at the FT line - 10 of 19.

There is simply no excuse for that. None!!!

I blame MM for that. No, she doesn't shoot them, but it's on her to make sure that her players are focused on how important they are and make sure they know what they need to do. AP missing those two at the end of the fourth, SMFH. How do you leave TWO of them short. Get the fucking ball to the basket and give it a fucking chance to go in!!!!!!!

Well, that's a swing and a miss!

Charlotte Smith's Elon Phoenix came to Harrisonburg and went home with their flames put out, 61-48. It was an extremely physical game between two teams that respect but don't like each other, marred by horrible (and I do mean HORRIBLE!! Like where do they get them, and why do they keep sending them to us?) refereeing. At one point, one of their players squared up and elbowed JMU's Kiki Jefferson in the nose so hard that she had to leave the game (bleeding and a little dazed). The ref didn't even call a foul, let alone the flagrant that should have been called! We were sitting right behind the courtside TV and saw the replay and that ref should be censured and not allowed to ref any more. It was seriously bad. Kamiah Smalls had a double-double for the Dukes with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

There are only 12 WNBA teams and 30 NBA teams and 347 in Men's NCAA Div 1 Basketball.

There are almost the same number of male assistant coaches on those 12 WNBA teams (11) as there are in the NBA (11) and NCAA Men's Basketball (1) combined. That's not factoring the 7:0 ratio of head coaches.

https://www.si.com/college/2019/09/24/ncaa-coaches-women-nba-female-assistants

McGraw went public with her comments (which really was just mentioning a change in her attitude about whether she needed a man on the staff like she used to think).

However, consider this from the linked article:

Then there are the cultural biases—not to mention institutional sexism—that persist even today. Curry says that when she was hired, the questions she received from program outsiders were mostly pessimistic what-ifs: What if the players don't listen to you? What if they question your basketball knowledge? "I'm like, What type of people [do you think] we are mentoring and leading?" Curry says. She laments that women still have to overcome preconceived concerns from those who make hiring decisions. "They don't look at our skill sets," she says. "That's why it's only me."

Curry is the only female assistant coach in Men's Div 1 Basketball. Are you going to refer to all Men's coaches as misogynists? You would have to in order to be consistent. I doubt you will.

Of course not. Nor would I refer to all female coaches as misandrists. Just one.
