Sorry for the delays over the last few weeks. My travel schedule has made it difficult to keep up with my important work here. Finally I'm home for a few weeks so I should be able to catch up with everything, including posting next weeks games tomorrow. The recap for Week 4, like last week will be abbreviated. Next week's standings will show the year long rankings as well as the weekly rankings as I catch up

Congratulations to Matt for winning the week and moving 5 ahead of the field in 4 weeks. And even with the "easier" games we were unable to even go 50% as a group. No one correctly picked Louisville over Oregon, only Matt picked either Bucknell over Cincinnati or LSU over Michigan St (he had both) and only Pilight correctly picked Virginia over JMU.

Here is your chance to catch Myrtle (or my chance to catch you). Myrtle has accepted my request to pick the games for Week 11 (January 13-19) so I have volunteered you for Week 12 (January 20-26). The games should be posted on the Wednesday or Thursday before your week starts on Sunday. Pilight has already volunteered for Week 13. If anyone else would volunteer for a week please post your choice of week.

Week 5 Results

After 4 weeks of not being able to pick even 50% cumulatively, week 5 marked a total turnaround. The group as a whole averaged 13 correct, a total that was good enough to win both week 2 and week 4. The stars of the week were Pilight and Adamj who each selected 17 of 20 correctly. Each of them missed Texas over Tennessee (which everyone else missed as well, Oklahoma over LSU (which was picked correctly by only Hoopsmom and Calbearman) and Duquesne over Akron.
