With only a week to go before the start I thought it was time to get this year's tipping contest going. There will be 20 games to pick each week, generally running from Monday to Sunday, although there may be an adjustment around the holidays. Picks will need to be in before the start of the first game each week. (Please note that in past years the weeks games started on Sundays which sometimes meant that nearly half of the games were played the first day) Any picks posted after a game starts will not be counted - perhaps a 5 minute grace period a the discretion of the commissioner.

In general each correct pick gets 1 point, but if players are interested a bonus point could be added for upset picks in 5 designated games each week. The advantage of doing this is that certain games where there is a decided favorite could still be included where an upset pick would be more valuable. Please comment on whether you would like that addition for this year's game over the next few days.

The first week's games will be posed on Thursday evening (Halloween seems a fitting time to unveil the devilish games). I will post the games for the first few weeks, but as always I will look for some help, particularly in January when I expect to be overseas.

Please post if you are interested in playing this season as I would like to have at least 8 players.

I'll play again. Not in favor of the upset bonus.

I will do week 13, as I have the last two seasons.

I must play.

And I second pilight's emotion: don't love the 'bonus' thang. (Murdle ALWAYS gets those Evil or Very Mad )

And I'll be glad to help with developing game slates as needed. Jes' holler.

I was hoping to see a little more interest, but hopefully posting the games may prove to be an incentive for others to play. There will be no bonus points, just pick the winners straight up The games start on Tuesday.

There are games that start at 10 AM central which will be 8 AM Pacific on Tuesday. I didn’t look at the start times for the games on this list, are they all later then?

I will play. It will be a bit confusing with both Hoopmom and Hoopmom!

I am in favor of the upset bonus as it gives more incentive to pick the underdog.

I will post tomorrow since the first game is Tuesday. Still exhausted from researching fantasy picks.

Laughing hehehehe....and you're gonna remain confused if you don't remember ONE of you (NOT you) has an "s" in her name! But don't sweat this game....it's a cake walk, compared to the stat-studying the Fantasy Game entails.
