clarification about alternatives. The alts are only used if someone on your listed lineup fails to play...so you can't pick and choose after the fact. If say Kianna Williams had not played, then your first listed alternative would be played. Since all your players did play in their games, you can't use the alternatives. It would add a layer of interest/confusion to be able to do this but this was not the way we set it up. Hope this makes sense.

ok. Today is the first day of the rest of the season. We will retreat from players who have royally f*cked us. She will now have another monster game, but I just cannot hang on to wait for it:

Mikesell, g, Maryland is history
sign Breanna Wright, g, Abilene Christian

Maybe now prayers can be answered Laughing

Breanna Wright was in my last 5 players I considered adding last week and this week. The only thing that kept me off her was that 4 of her 11 games so far this season were against non Division 1 schools, but the Southland isn't exactly a power conference.

Yeah, I went thru and looked at the stats for each game before deciding.

You also probably consulted the star charts, decided if mercury was in retrograde or not, checked with the Oracle at Delphi, asked Tara at Chalk Talk, and rummaged for videos from last season.

Good ideas. I'll remember that for next time!

I'll have time after the 1st to catch up on the bookkeeping for adds/subtracts. Meanwhile, you'll have to look thru the thread!

Happy New Year y'all. Hope your lives are full of blessings. I know I have much to be grateful for! (fortunately my fantasy team doesn't need to be a determining factor in that!)

Lineup for week 7

1/2: Ericka Mattingly G UMKC (Seattle) WAC
1/2: Lauren Manis F Holy Cross (Loyola Md) PAT
1/2: Megan Walker F UConn (Wichita St) American
1/4: Kenysha Coulson G Northern Alabama (North Florida) ASUN
1/4: Dariauna Lewis U Alabama A&M (Grambling) SWAC
1/4: Lauren Cox U Baylor (Oklahoma) B12
1/5: Michaela Onyenwere U UCLA (Arizona) P12
1/6: Shakira Austin C Maryland (Ohio St) B10

Alternate:

1/4: Kendell Heremaia Fordham (St Bonaventure) A10

I don't like sitting Taylor Robertson, but with her only game this week against Baylor she is on the bench. Then there is Michaela Onyenwere, playing against the number 1 scoring defense, and Lauren Cox vs Queen Egbo. All in all a very tough lineup to make.

My lineup is in, but after today's game I am not sure I want Shakira Austin. She didn't start, played only 14 minutes and managed to go 1-7 FG, 1-2 FT, with 3 TOs, 4 PFs, and only 3 rebounds and an assist. Hopefully she will do better against Ohio St (when her game counts), but I am glad that Lauren Cox is back to fill my C/TF position.

You can change your lineup up until your first game starts.
I was happy to NOT have Mikesell today.

Hoopmom,
I hadn't noticed before but you have Soliman playing today against a D2 or less school. This is illegal as we had agreed only games against D1 would count. Please replace her with somebody with a D1 game. Thanks.

Another one hits the dirt. We obviously did a shitty job of picking players this year. I've been putting this off and not playing her, thinking surely she will get better...but she was #5 on my list at the beginning of the year and is now #226 below everybody else on my team and still dropping. It's pretty much beyond belief.

Waive Dee Givens, f, WKU
sign Chelsea Perry, tf, UTM

so now the only one of my original starters still standing is Duffy. At least I don't think she will be going anywhere.

Thanks all for your patience. I've just updated the changes and rosters on the front page. Could you please check for any errors?

I moved all the dropees to the bottom of the rosters but note that some of them were subsequently picked up by other fantasizers.

I do feel sorry for you. I know what it is like to suck at your own game (see my tipping results) and be powerless to do anything about it. But you have to keep up all the stats, and that just reminds you how much you suck at your own game.

I know that playing the game is the real fun, but it is sure more fun when you are winning.
