Close, hard fought game, but still kind of ugly. Brazil 28-26 at the half.

Canada will advance to the final of the AmeriCup. Free throws in the final minute will make a close game look like more of a disparity. Michigan states Shay Colley is leading all scorers with 23. For Brazil Dantos and Dos Santos combined for 30 of the 58 points.

Canada's Kayla Alexander went down with a knee injury in the second half and did not return.

Interesting play that made a difference late: Canada's Bridget Carlton was fouled and went to the free throw line. An official saw blood and sent her to the bench. Canada was allowed to substitute its best FT shooter, Jami Scott, who canned both shots. She then immediately subbed out for Carlton, who apparently was all better.

She’s draft prospect nobody ever talks about.

I wonder. She's not exactly getting it done at Michigan State in what is a pretty weak big 10 conference. Bridget Carlton had trouble making a roster and I think her chances would be better than Colleys.
